My New Year's Resolutions
We are closing in on the new year and for a while now, I have been thinking about what would make 2014 better for me. Here is what I will do; in fact, I have already begun.
The first thing is, I will unsubscribe from all lists that are a waste of my time. As it turns out, that's most of them. This includes the superstars, the well-regarded marketers, the ones who know a lot more than I do. Why? I have gone through their emails to me, only to find that they are not providing enough value. Countless emails come into the inbox and the vast majority of them are selling something.
I get it. I get that marketers market stuff. I also get that, no matter what they say, most of them do not care if I succeed. They care that they do. That said, there are a handful of folks who consistently give me useful tips without telling me how dumb I would be if I failed to take them up on their ebook, course and, of course, coaching. ("I don't know when I'll be offering this again, so jump on it now!! I can only take the first 10 people.") I will stay on these few lists and will recommend them when I can.
In addition, I won't be buying anything from anyone. I know your product is incredible. I know you make $100,000/month, I know that no one but you wants me to know the truth. Thanks, but no thanks. I'll get by. Even if I'm not successful, the worst that will happen is that I will still have the money that would have gone to you.
I'm serious. There is a lot of great information on this forum and all around the internet. This is the year that I will use these resources exclusively. And here's what else I will do.
I will periodically post what I am doing and how I am doing it right here on the forum.
Happy New Year to all and may you have much success in the year to come.
