If so,what company did you use and was it worth it?

I never have, but I have just typed a phone number into Google and found who it belonged to that way. Have you tried that?

Just when you think you've got it all figured out, someone changes the rules.

I used one once and it sucked! After I paid and ran the search, it said no further information is available.

It reminded me of a BS cpa offer.

a lot of them are that way.

One thing that I've found that works sometimes, but not always, is to try and log in to facebook using the phone number. If the person you're looking for has tied their phone number to their facebook account, their name will pop up after several attempts to log in. It will say something along the lines of : "You attempted to login as the following user with an incorrect password." and then will show the person's name and facebook image.

Damn that is brilliant. Sometimes you see or hear such a simple
little thing like that and it can literally change the name of the game for you.

That little tidbit is one of them.

ANOTHER crack in the whole ID thing! It REALLY makes you wonder! This whole world is running on CREDIT based on information known by the payer. What happens when that crashes such that ALL are affected?

At least to implement an implanted chip, as many have specified, would take too long to properly implement, for THIS problem. HOW would you know who to implant anyway?

Ok, I tried two using the same number today.
Intellius(sp?) $4.95 for basic phone information. On a scale of 1-5,1.
Information pretty worthless, had tio go through numerous upsells to get to the information.

Spokeo. Only $2.95 but same as the other.

With intellius you had the option to pay extra to get the information as a pdf file.

With Spokeo I saw no option to print of even purchase a printable copy.

The reports DID come up with the same basic information though.

Most of those are using the same old database, which is useless unless the person you're looking for is using the same phone number they've used for the last decade. It's nearly impossible to reverse a number without a subpoena. Your best hope is that the person has dropped their number into a form somewhere, and you can find it on google. - And when searching google, don't forget to add quotes " " around the number and spaces where the dashes go.

Kim - if it's a local number, call a real estate agent. They have reverse phone books -- or whatever area the area code and prefix is for.....which you CAN look-up on line without a hassle. You might have to make a story that will make them willingly provide the info for you, but I"m sure you can handle that one.
