Yea, these people do exist, and yes it is morally awful what they're doing.

That being said, I think its incredibly rash to jump to the conclusion that all homeless people begging out there are scammers. Honestly, I'd go as far as to say that the majority are actually in need.

There are so many people out there who are in need; people who actually suffer from mental illness' or an addiction. Its sad that those people end up getting pushed aside on the air in favor of a shocking story.

      .
Honestly, I'd go as far as to say that you really should brush up on your reading skills. Nowhere do I imply that all homeless are scammers. this person is not even homeless and neither is she disabled, she's just an out right scammer.

I didn't intend to say that that's what you were implying. I've seen a few other videos just like this one and all of them imply that 99% of the beggers on the street are scam artists.

Sorry if you felt like I was directly attacking you.

Yeah it just came off that way, but I do agree that although there are those who choose to be homeless, there is a large % that just became unfortunate due to un foreseen events.

      Probably illegal mate!
They outlawed begging in York due to the number of scammers. Now they have metal collection boxes stationed throughout the city you can donate to for homeless charities.

Some of em are getting lazy now, though. Serious.

I got one of those Nigerian emails about a mass fortune -- and it actually targeted me as "dear email owner". LMAO.

I once frequented a BBS, and found that the "sysop" used to TEACH these scams! HE said you could average at least $30K a year. That was in the early 80s, and it is NOT reported as taxable income!

I also saw a few beggars, and watched enough to see this SAME thing! OH, and the winters are NOT harsh in places like beverly hills!

Yeah, I have given a LOT! I am now VERY suspicious about many.

HECK, I knew a guy that LITERALLY lived in a MANSION and yet got donations supposedly to go to other countries, like the UKRAINE! Did he go there? In retrospect, I guess I have to wonder. But MANY could have used such funds more than he could.

There was a big story in my home town York (UK) where they caught a supposedly down and out begging getting into his new beamer at the end of the day. It turned out he was often making over £5k ($8K) a week cash in hand from begging. He had all the luxuries of a company executive including a large house in one of the best suburbs. Think he got done for not paying tax and (rightfully) had to pay back a huge some of monies.
