A scientist. Mostly an archaeologist or astronomer - earth sciences. I am close to scientists with my website, but didn't have the math to do it. I was told I was terrible at math. When in college my Logic and Astronomy professors sat me down and told me I should be in physics. Freaked me out so bad I almost quit school. Went into a branch of cognitive sciences instead.

I wanted to be a paleontologist, then a cartoonist, then an oil painter, then a screenplay writer, and then finally settled on being a novelist.

Novel writing is the most rewarding form of writing there is. But it took me a while, a long while, to realize it.

Everybody gets this wrong. He is my greatest nemesis. Well, top three or four, anyway. Greatest might be a stretch.

Now that I think about it....

On a scale of the Joker to Batman, he's my equivalent of that screaming child on an airplane when I'm flying back hungover from Las Vegas. Annoying, but nothing a good pair of ear plugs won't handle.

Up until I was 12 I was going to be a lawyer and then it was radio jock. That's all I wanted to be and I managed it too. For 15 years I worked in broadcast as a jock.

One thing I never wanted to be or at least thought I would never be, is a dad and it has turned out to be the most fantastic, most wonderful thing I could ever be.
