    Hi Joe,

I was in Wycombe two weeks ago.

Sadly though, I get the impression, especially from some of the sink hole news I've seen in America and other places that you may be subjected to a bit of Crocodile Dundee terminology.

"That's not a sinkhole, this, is a bloody sinkhole!"

They all look like they've been previously dug - look how round they are. Not saying it's fake that they caved, just that there was a man-made reason for the sinkage, not natural unless they are an old volcanic tube or some such.

It might well be. Google sinkhole, there are quite a few images of this at different angles and others similar. It was just to illustrate my point to Joe though.

      Hi Sal,

There's an image below of how they are supposed to have been formed but I've heard around certain areas like High Wycombe where it happened that they're often very old land fill sites that were filled in and have gradually become what they are.

Interestingly, was this one man made?

Apologies for my multiple posts yesterday. Every time I posted it wasn't there, must have been a blip.
