Freelancer: New to The Forums - Advice Needed!

Hello Everyone!

I wasn't able to find an introduction sub-forum within the site like most forums. So, I'd like to start it here. I'm a Freelance Writer who recently created a site. A fellow blogger JRJwrites recommended me here and a series of internet marketing forums. So, I want to take my time to introduce myself.

I'm currently new to IM Forums. So excuse me if this is a bad place to post this. I'm currently reading Paul's Handy Little Guide to the Warrior Forum and I hope I can learn more from this forum.

Do you guys have any advance on increasing the chances of selling your services such as writing especially if your site is only a month old? How do you find prospects or clients besides IMs and Job Boards?

    The fastest way is to post an classified ads here to give out a few review copies. Do an awesome job for them to get great reviews. The re-launch your service for a special offer.

    Have you posted on Craigs List? You can post your resume for work or post under the 'services' section in your geographic area. I'm a freelancer too so I feel your pain. There are a number of freelancer websites but I have hesitated to sign up with any of them because I don't know if they're real. Do you have a blog or a website to show samples of your work? It's good to have an internet presence where you can refer family and friends and spread th word. Good luck!
