I need to find out what bank Facebook use. They sent a wire transfer to me on the 17th January, and it still hasn't arrived in my bank.

Now, Facebook's bank have put a trace on the transfer and can confirm it's in the UK. So it's sitting in an intermediary bank somewhere. I have all the wire reference numbers, but my stupid bank does not know how to use them. I've spoke to my bank manager, to the International Payments department.

They keep telling me to contact Facebook and ask for more and more numbers. And when I do it takes days to get a response. Facebook then have to contact their bank, more days waiting, so just to get these numbers takes about a week. Then I go back to the bank and they want more information!

Facebook done there part, and traced it.

But what can I do now? My bank are idiots, and Facebook can't do nothing more. I would like to know what bank Facebook use so I can give them all the reference details I have and ask them what bank my payment is with so I can call that bank.

This is an absolute mess. Never in my life have I had problems like this. I hope this is an issue my UK bank, because I will sue the life out of them.

I have emailed them to ask them this, but it's the weekend and I probably wont get a reply until about Wednesday.

If you want Facebook's bank details, you'll need to get that info from Facebook. But, as was mentioned in your previous thread on this subject, the issue is most likely with your UK bank.

Assuming you gave Facebook your correct details in the first place, it's really something you need to pursue with your bank. I understand your frustration, but there's nothing anyone here is going to be able to help you with.

      Tell me about it.

I suspect he's being scammed. When did Facebook start paying out money?

If Facebook's bank has put a trace and sent him the information then he should know the answer to his own question.
    What am I missing?

My opinion is that most banks wouldn't give an outsider any information about their customer's accounts so knowing what bank they use would do you no good. You'd also need to know their account number and perhaps other details to prove you were authorized by Facebook to access information about their account.

PS I'm curious why FB is sending you a wire transfer? If you paid for an ad and was due a refund or had a credit, most companies would just apply the amount back to the same credit card used.

I agree Mark. Bank or otherwise I can't think of any business that is going to give information to someone other than a representative of the company.

Hopefully you are not up to some old habits!

Back on point. Do The Shard sell tickets for public viewing? If so could you not contact the ticket sellers and see if they have an affiliate program? Or ask if they can set something up so you can make money from referrals?

But as EeeTee stated, there could possibly be a trademark issue here.
