What's your favorite new gTLD domain?

Hi there,

Just wondering what people think are the best new gTLD's?

My vote goes for .Guru, .Directory and .Solutions
I'm not including the GEO ones since there are too many. But obviously .NYC

I haven't looked at them all just the ones initially available.

I know marketers do not seem too interested in them, but it seems to me that Google cannot ignore the TLD part when looking at relevance in search results, so they seem like a definite advantage to me.

What's your thoughts on it?

    .web has some potential, maybe.

I'm in the camp who thinks these either fail entirely or they water down domain extensions in general to the point that it doesn't matter anymore. Total failure is most likely, but it'll come down to how mainstream marketers use them. If you start seeing TV commercials all over pointing to the new gTLDs then something could really happen.

.travel has been out for a long time and it has no advantage over .com for travel sites.

Edit: I started a poll thinking that readers could add more categories on demand, but now not so sure if that is possible. I might delete the poll if that is the case!

I personally believe .com is king and will remain # 1 for a long time.

I'm undecided at the moment, I think no-one can see the true results for a few months - but out of those, I voted .guru

You need a 'none of the above because they're utter rubbish' option

    It's .com only for me.

New TLDs come around every so often. The only real beneficiaries are the registry companies. Stick with .com, .net or .org - or perhaps a country-specific TLD for your particular business.

As for .guru, you might as well register .knobhead.
