Zanjeer the dog is my favourite one. Now that's a hero! Nice share.

Seen those before. The one with the dog sitting beside the grave always chokes me up.

The little starving kid's hand in the guy's hand and the one where the tornado victim finds his dog live and okay both stir me up.

This photo is along the same lines, and is one of the most powerful I've ever seen, and it was also controversial because of people's reactions to it and the fact that the photographer killed himself 3 months after it was taken:

Can't understand why this one wasn't included either. Possibly the most famous photo taken during the Vietnam War, which fortunately had a happy ending:

I remember number 9, the man giving water to a koala. The bush fires were horrific in so many ways...and caused the most devastation of any on record I believe. I know people who lost their wives, families and property in the fires, many of which were deliberately lit. Arsonists should be set on fire themselves, after being made to watch their property being on fire. Harsh but true.

Not quite sure about that, but arson should be treated as what it is, a form of terrorism.

#2 with what looks like scratch marks on the wall inside the gas chamber at Auschwitz literally gave me chills; made me shudder!

And #5, the boy playing the violin at his teachers funeral with tears rolling down his cheeks brought one to my eye as well.

I forgot that was in there. Yeah, I love that shot, too. I am a sucker for animal rescues.
