To Those Who Are Still Struggling - There Is Hope :-)

When I was struggling to make it online, things were tough for us financially.

The one story I most clearly remember is wanting to give $5 to charity and not being able to get it together.

Every day I would look out my window and see this view:

Then I would say to myself:

Wow!

Imagine how many trees are out there.

Imagine how many leaves are out there.

There is so much plenty in the world.

So much money to go around.

So much prosperity to be had.

I would tell myself that I too can have a share of that.

Then I would resolve to do the one thing that was most likely to make me succeed.

The fastest path to cash.

Even if it was hard.

And that's what helped me get there.

Today I am so thankful that my financial struggles are a thing of the past.

I see others still struggling and I'm hoping this post will inspire someone to go ahead and do the same.

Every day pick the one thing that will bring you closer to success.

These days will add up. And you will get there.

Good luck!

Definitely have to agree there. It's all about finding out what works for *you* and blazing the path that fits your character best.

Takes a huge amount of time to fine-tune it but yep.

You will get there. Come September it will be 3 years since I returned myself.

Awesome! There are a few lessons here:

Don't give up. Believe in yourself.

Understand there is enough money in the world for you.

      Make Goals.

Focus on one thing at a a time.

      See any other ones?

Totally agree! I remember doing $10 gigs on UserTesting.com just to scrape together some food money and then I had a £50 gig come up which felt like manna from heaven... Looking back, it's taught me a lot about spending money wisely - both in life and in business, setting realistic goals and above all, celebrating even the little successes. Each step forward is a step in the right direction

That picture reminds me of when I was doing research in Switzerland. The lab I worked in looked out over La Saleve - a mountain. Wonderful. How can you not be joyful and thank God for that!

For anyone struggling with clarity on what their "thing" is I highly recommend working through Roger Hamilton's Wealth Dynamics profile test. It's not cheap but may help open your eyes to understanding why you've been feeling so close but so far to finding your "thing" and help clarify your vision on the right path for you. I personally think it's some of the best money I ever spent.

Looks cool. I'm pretty sure I'm a mechanic just by reading the descriptions.

But here's another lesson - know yourself - strengths and weaknesses - and structure your business around your strengths :-)

Exactly. It always makes me do the RCA dog head crank to see people trying to work in ways that are going to drive them into a corner drooling if they keep it up too long. Why on earth bother with "not having a boss" if you are going to be just as damned miserable on your own? Success is making money being YOU. I could learn coding, and I could do coding and I could make awesome money doing coding..........until my brain fried and all my money went to rent for the rubber room they'd be locking me up in.

Who are you? I'm a rockhound - I could not look at that view and stay on the computer. I'd be out roaming around those hills looking for the local mineral specimens. Serious. Of course - that's my way to money, too, outside of writing. Everything you do will have a few things to it you really don't like - but if there's more of that than what really keeps you burning, you're in the wrong field.

Awesome example. There are main mistakes that most make and this is the reason why few people succeed. If they are able to find their mistakes and encourage themselves and be patient and never give up, they will see that when they find the right path with the right movements will lead them to success.

There is so much money that can be more than enough to everyone. Just focus on the right thing.

The one thing I learned is that you have to stay persistent and never give up.

Also, what works very well for one person, may not work for the other. You just have to find out and see what works best for you.

Look, if others are doing really well with their business, so CAN YOU. They are not better then you. They just failed and failed and failed until they found what works for them.

Success in anything, not just making money online is usually much, much tougher than the success stories portray. Often the people who get success easily don't realise that it was mainly out of luck and randomness, rather than skill and knowledge that made them successful. This is why you get these expensive courses from so called internet gurus that have genuinely made millions, who say that anyone can achieve the same if you copy them, which of course you can't. If someone won the lottery and said, "here these are the numbers I used, now you can win too", you would think they were crazy. Yet, this logic goes out the window in making money online.

That said, I still look what has worked for others and try to take something from it, as I would with my own successes and failures too. And try and stick with one idea (which can include multiple strategies with in it), rather than jumping from one idea to the next. Remember, if you hit the jackpot early on, it's more likely luck than anything else.

      Yes. People often ask me:

"Can I make $2,000/month with your system starting next month?"

I am always careful to tell the truth: it takes time to build up success. And it's a shame that people have been conditioned to think that it will be instantaneous. Far too many people give up because of that.

Originally Posted by littledan View Post

Ok, here I disagree with you.

You can get lucky and make a few dollars.

But you don't get lucky and make a regular income. That just doesn't happen. It's not the result of luck but rather a solid plan and good execution.

It's important to me to point this out because I really don't want people to think that success is due to an elusive "luck". Better to stick to a tested and proven plan and reply on that.

IMO this happens because these "gurus" know how to make money online but they have no idea how to teach it to others.
