With the camera angles and all, I wonder if this is staged, but it was reported on the news. Apparently, it happened yesterday.

A CAT saves a boy FROM A DOG!!!!!!

Pet cat saves boy from dog that was attacking him (with video)

But MAN, the dog went WAY out of its way into potential danger to attack the boy. The cat instantly lept into action.

Looked pretty real to me. I've never really been a fan of cats but that's kind of altered my mind.

Never knew cats to have protective instincts by nature. Thought it was the other way around!

That's cool on the part of the cat.
    The boy's injuries looked real.

The dog will be euthanized, but does anyone know if the dog's owner has been charged with anything?

I was wondering why the owner of an aggressive dog would be letting it run in a neighborhood like that. I feel bad for it. A lot of dogs don't like bikes and will go after them. They don't understand that the bike isn't live. You can't safely let any dog loose around a bike unless it is command trained to the hilt. Give the dog to someone that will take care of it properly and sue the pants off the present owner.

      THREE problems with your theories!

      1. Dogs don't necessarily chase bikes. In fact, they generally just chase moving things. When I had a dog, HE didn't seem to be upset with bikes.
      2. This dog chased AFTER the bike stopped.
      3. This dog went for the boy.

I wonder if the boy had previously provoked the dog.
Perhaps more than one time. It seemed to come after
    him very purposely.

I'm not excusing the dog or the owners by any means.
