          Q is for quagmire

When my 6 yr old grandson chose quagmire as his "word to learn" - he looked it up in his dictionary (he thought it "looked good"), learned to spell it and use it in a sentence. The next day he scurried off to school where he proudly stood and gave his "word he learned".

At which point the "teacher" (?) said "there's no such word".

When Curran came home that day his Mother asked how he did with his word - and he replied "we really need to get Ms Somers a new dictionary".
Thankfully, he's no longer in that school.
