Hi Guys, I host a creative writing blog and like all blogs I try to update on a daily basis. I've signed up to Google alerts, both news and blogs and find a lot of my information there.

Help me out. Even though I post on a daily basis I don't see Google picking up my blog and including it in there Google alerts and they seem to pick up other blogs which, well don't look as good as mine. How do I go about persuading Google to pick up on my blog.

    Oh my. You posted that question in the OT? You are a brave one aren't you?

    Well - I guess I got here first so here goes......

    Email your link to the Google admin and ask them "HEY - Have you read this Yet?"
    Then pray that they liked it.

        Do you have a Google sitemap? Submitting one always seems to help them index your site faster. You can create one for free at www.xml-sitemaps.com (not affiliated)

        LOL - congratulations - you win a real answer.

        Post your blog article - then rewrite it for submission sites if it needs it - let it fly as is if
        you can, though - as close to what you have on the blog.
        Wait 48 hours and submit the article to submission sites with the link to the blog in your
        resource box, of course.
        The backlinks created will not only help you pick up recognition, you will have the original
        content placing.

        After you place the article on submission sites go put it on digg, etc.
