The bill passed here in NY started as a medical cannabis bill but the governor made so many changes to it that it's really not that anymore.

Medical marijuana is just more regulation. What we need is just to all out legalize it. Enough is enough.

  Personally I think the side effect of previous legalizations in other states, the effect it had on the cartels should be a part of our efforts in other states to get it legalized. I see legalizing it for medical use a step closer to it being available for everyone who wishes to use it recreationally. Personally I want nothing to do with marijuana*, but I see the use of it no different from someone smoking cigarettes... only better for you. *The reason I want nothing to do with marijuana is because I have an allergic reaction to the smoke that has me laid out for days after exposure.
