So, I noticed after a couple of months here that there are a lot of people running in place, myself included sometimes. Most people come to the realization that making money online is no different than making it offline. It takes hard work, research, learning, un learning, and so on. I came across a sales page recently that totes the same ol crap. 20 minutes of work to reach $10,000 per month. The same rags to riches story of a haggard, two weeks from being homeless to living in a mansion in six months time marketer. This is why so many people run in place. They are addicted to the dream and not the work. They are addicted to watching these poorly acted, fake screen shot 7 minute videos. They want to believe it so much that they buy the $2000 product for $2.97 only to realize that they have to buy into a OTO that is $2000 on step 21 or it will not work. Let me clue you in. It will not work anyway, why? Because even if you invest $2002.97 you will not take any kind of action and in two weeks demand your money back, come on here and slam the product and scour the internet for the next seven minute video and do it all over again. If this is you, let me tell you a secret. THERE IS NO SECRET. there are tips and tricks all day long but the bottom line is you have to build a sales list and sell to it ethically and consistently. The dream is for sale to the highest bidder and is selling like hotcakes. I am not buying the dream anymore but investing in the journey. WHO"S WITH ME!!!!

Very good description of the so-called "shiney object syndrome"...... and I wish all those videos were only 7 minutes long - that way I would not have wasted so much of my time watching them!

There are two basic groups of people that watch these "Rags to Riches" videos.

One group, the very small group, thinks "What are the steps, the process, to make that money?"

The other group, the dreamers are thinking "Yeah, I want that beach life too!" ...and they never think of the steps needed to achieve that result. This is the much bigger group.

It's the same with coaching, most buyers of coaching are really not looking for the steps needed...the work needed. They are looking for the magic.

It's why sales training is harder to sell. It implies work. It implies learning the steps.

      We are a funny species.
