Today is Fathers and that should mean a lot to most people. Don't get me wrong I love my Dad but this day doesn't seem to carry the same weight as Mothers Day does. Do Daughters have a greater feeling for Fathers Day Than they do for Mothers Day? I seem to have a greater bond for my Mom than I do for my Dad. Today like every other Fathers Day My Wife , Son and I will travel 90 minutes to visit with them both but, it just isn't the same as Mom's day. Parents love their children equally and unconditionally and children should reciprocate but it doesn't always work out that way for some reasons. What's your input I would like to know other views?
Happy Fathers Day to you and yours.

I feel that yes the Hallmarks of the world does put more emphasis on Mothers day. I also heard it is because there is more money for Mothers day and some say that is because the mom is the one seen as giving birth and a little more important that dad. Just what I heard. Happy Father day everyone

OH SNAP! but hey, remember that your parents are both different people, who were raised in different families and then came together to have you.

Basically you can't really expect then that you will like everything about each one the same way, because they are after all two different people.

With children it is a different thing from the parent's end, because both parents raise all of the kids, so if there is a discrepancy in which parent likes which kid more, I can see that being more of a strong argument, since the parents were responsible for raising every single kid of theirs.. Thus children of the same parents will pretty much come from the same backgrounds in this aspect.

Whereas with your relationship with your parents, they are two dif people from two dif backgrounds...
