USB disk and DLNA on Huawei router

Hi,

I've recently received a Huawei B593-s router from my mobile broadband provider, and it works fine.
It should be possible to add a USB drive to it, and it supports DLNA. I think I've gotten the DLNA part to work (can see it via the TV), since it gives me access to some sort of folder structure when selecting DLNA on my TV. This is probably some build-in drive on the router, but I have no idea on where to access that (for example via FTP).
Also I've tried to insert a USB drive (both NTFS and exFAT formatted), but the router doesn't seem to read these since I cannot see it in the web-based administration module.

Any ideas or experience on how to get it to read my USB drive and use it via DLNA?

Thanks in advance.

Best regards,
Thomas

I don't know anything about dlna ... but I do know when you want to control
routers and modems and stuff you usually need Tftp.

I think the "T" stands for telenet.
Back in the day it is how you controlled "set" everything.

You DON'T need FTP(of any sort) here! The idea is that mounted drives can become SAMBA compatible networked storage. So you can use UNC conventions. They are like \\device_ip_or_name\path_to_device\device_name

And YEAH, such servers have a built in file system that may, or may not, be usable.

Ok, thanks, guys. When I access the routers DLNA via my TV I get access to some file structure, probably on the router itself. Any ideas on how to access this area, so that I can put my movies, etc. there?

    Thanks.
