DLGuard And Optimize Press Update - Need Suggestions

Here is my situation. All of these problems, mind you are because I am promoting a digital product and an upsell membership.

1) DLGuard - Upgrade to 4.6 blew up install and I can't fix it. I've decided to just install 5.0 fresh (fixes all problems including Clickbank Pitch Plus issue) but it's been 3 days since I've posted at the forum and still haven't heard back from Sam. I know he's in Australia and there is a big time difference but the constant having to wait days for replies to issues is no longer acceptable. I need to get this thing submitted to Clickbank for approval so I can start marketing and testing conversions. This all should have been done already.

2) Optimize Press/Member - Long story short. I can't host my product on my own site because the size and bandwidth required would get my hosting shut down. So I am going to use Amazon S3. I'm all ready to sign up. Problem is, Optimize Member will not protect downloads not uploaded through Optimize Member to your own site. I can protect the members area but the files themselves will have the URLs to Amazon S3 clearly displayed so that anybody can share them and they can then be illegally downloaded.

In short, I need another solution. I hate having to yet spend more money on products that I shouldn't need if things would work efficiently, but I'm kind of left with no choice.

Now I've tried to work through this problem on my own and here is what I've come up with so far. I am not thrilled with any of these.

Option 1 - Forget waiting for Sam to get back to me. Purchase DLGuard 5.0 at full price even though I may be entitled to an upgrade discount as a current user and hope I can install it with no problems. Use Amazon S3 and Optimize Member and not worry about protecting the file, just the membership area. Hope it's good enough.

Option 2 - Look for another solution other than DLGuard for the digital product since I don't have any shopping card option at all now. It would have to be compatible with Clickbank Pitch Plus. Use Amazon S3 and Optimize Member and not worry about protecting the file, just the membership area. Hope it's good enough.

Option 3 - Use DLGuard and Optimize Member but forget about Pitch Plus and doing an upsell. Just have the digital purchase and membership options on the same sales page.

Option 4 - Figure out a way to do my own manual upsell like in the days before Pitch Plus. Use DLGuard and Optimize Member for the product delivery and membership platforms.

Option 5 - Look for completely different options for both the digital product purchase and membership that are both compatible with Clickbank Pitch Plus. If the option doesn't exist, then there is no point because anything I get will only be worse than what I have now.

What am I missing? Can you think of something specific (products that you absolutely know will do what I need them to do with 100% certainty)

I have to stress that because I was told to get Optimize Press that it would do what I want it to do. To a degree, it does. But not completely. Support just got back to me and said right now it's a requirement that to protect the file downloads they MUST be uploaded through the Optimize Member plugin.

Suggestions?
