    Never mind - I found the rest of the article. I thought it cut off at a link for another article.

    12 years. Doesn't she have any sick time accrued? While I realize this doctor is doing something for her that she really needs right now - it does seem that after 12 years she should have some sick leave built up to use before putting burden on public money. Unemployment needs to be used as sparingly as possible until we can get this country back to work. Just sayin............

      Not sure if he should bear the burden or not. I do not think he is obligated to.

      But I would like to think if it was my Mom in her place that he might help her out a little.

      I think the letter might help with her Unemployment or also SSI Disability

      In some people's book that is helping out

    The employer has paid federal and state unemployment taxes for his employees, so he's already done his part and she deserves whatever payment she receives. She worked there for 12 years. If someone with 3 types of cancer doesn't qualify, who does? It ain't welfare.

    I just wonder, since she knew that her boss was doing her a favor in helping her to get unemployment, exactly how did that letter end up on Facebook. It was her letter so I assume she controlled that letter. Kind of a shitty thing to do to let it go on Facebook and make it look like her employer has treated her badly.
