Businesses with Lots of Carpet SF to Clean

I just booked and sold a bowling alley to clean their carpet, probably on a quarterly maintenance program. I'm going to call more of those, of course.

The second on my list for businesses with a lot of carpet area is theaters. Can anyone give me some feedback on other businesses I might call that have lots of carpet square footage to clean? Thanks.

problem with churches - called a few today - and 3 out of 6
said they have church member who has carpet cleaning biz
and does it for, you guessed it - very, very cheap - to be a
      good church member, of course

I would add banquet centers. Although, for some of the above listed businesses, I would have to imagine that a number of them would be cleaning carpets with in-house employees and equipment. Probably still worth your time to market to them, though.

Ask commercial carpet installers. they'll tell you every one of their big jobs. You can also tell them you'll be calling on those places and their carpet might be beyond cleaning and need replacement. boom. win/win.

team up with installers to offer a maintenance program upfront. who doesn't want to keep their new carpet looking nice?

Excellent suggestion - Super-Duper, indeed. Thank you.
If I had held a contest for best tip, you would be right up
      there, probably the winner.

This is a REALLY REALLY great idea - i am going to try
      this tomorrow - WOW! YES!!

You are indeed the new paradigm with an old but most
      effective idea, i'm sure.

next, network with commercial real estate agents, many places coming up for lease need the carpets cleaned. The CRE agent will be the first to know and they'll recommend carpet cleaners. Give'm a commission.

What is the best approach to carpet installers - now that i think about it,
it doesn't sound like it would be that easy because people aren't that free
with giving their co. information - and there is client confidentiality. I mean,
i'm not going to be giving every tom, dick and harry name, address and phone
number of my clients. How would one go about getting these carpet co. and
installers to share information with me, one of thousands of carpet cleaners
      on the planet???

Well, hopefully you're a really good carpet cleaner so the carpet installers will be happy to refer.

If you haven't made your way there already or have questions specific to the actual work of carpet cleaning (though there's plenty of marketing tips too), you might enjoy the truck mount forums. I do a little carpet cleaning for my house cleaning customers here and there and spent a lot of time just studying those forums for tips and tricks when I first started.

First, who cares if they want some basic information if they could really help you. Second, can't you browse there and search the forums without an account? There are other cleaning forums out there as well that may be to your liking. You're getting good feedback here anyway.

I knew a number of carpet cleaners that really did well with apartment communities. It is wholesale work so you can't charge a premium per unit, but you get a lot of fairly steady work. There are lots or property management companies as well.
