Hi guys,

I am having a hard time selling some of my retail products at a local spa. I am a supplier of handmade products.

Here is what the display looks like:

I haven't actually made any sales in about a week. I am trying to experiment with different marketing techniques.

Does anyone have any suggestions on what I should try for marketing?

I do have the flexibility in changing what the board says + pricing. The soap is actually the lowest price compared to the other soaps available.

How long should I wait before trying different techniques? I was thinking i'd try something new once a week.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Thank you,
Brian

Why should anyone care that your soap is 100% natural?

Ok well you'd better say something about that on the display.

You'll have to tell them explicitly....otherwise...why should they care?

    Hope that helps.

Making Calls To Sell Something? What are you actually saying?
Is there any room for improvement? Want to find out?

Hmmm that makes a lot of sense. I will try and explain more about some of the qualities of the soaps that make them unique. Otherwise... like you said they won't know or care.

A lot of times with displays its the little things... Cutting board is a cool idea.. but isn't $12 an awful lot to clean your hands in the kitchen?

separating the different scents in apothecary jars mixed in with smaller jars filled with q-tips and cotton balls paints a proper picture. Toss in a fluffy white towel, and there is no mistakes to be made.

and lets take that a step further.. in terms of cleaning ability how do you justify $12 vs a $2.00 bar of ivory.. and you cant right? BUT.. your product smells a whole lot better no? Your product may be considered aroma therapy... when I think peace and calm I immediately think of a few things.. bamboo, a light color green ( like the color of green apples ) and a zen garden ( sand and smooth river rock )

You really are not selling soap.. you are selling relaxation... the take home version of the services you provide. stress release in a bar. why not a take out bag ( a brown paper bag with your white label ) a WHITE scrunchy scrubby thing ( purity ) and a bar of your soap for $17.95 makes a great gift for you or someone you care for ( or love - whatever LOL )

How many of those could you have sold before mothers day?
