recommendations for a "best of" directory

Hello,
I recently acquired a bunch of "best of" type domains : [bestof][cityname].com


Trying to find the best way to market these. I know that city directories aren't really a huge thing anymore - but am open to suggestions.


One thought I had was from a pure content perspective - a different best category published blog style, ie


the best pizza places in my city
the best roofers etc...

    What do you think of turning them into local deals websites. Think Groupon... Focused on one product or service per week.

    Instead of turning it into a directory, you turn it into a community staple that everyone wants to stay updated with because only the COOLEST AND BEST!!! Businesses place their offers on that awesome website.
