Okay.. Offline business promotion. Here are few tips that you can start:

    1. Flyers. Consider giving out flyers in the area your business is serving, You can also give out flyer with coupon that they can avail a certain discount if they show it on their 1st visit.

    2. Join trade fair. Get a booth where you can sell your products. You can also display the brand name of your website via the banners of your booth.

    3. Giveaways. Print you brands on tshirt, umbrella, mugs, fan, pen, etc. Let your previous customers carry your brand with them.

    Hope this helps!

Why is this in the Off Topic rather than: Offline Marketing | Warrior Forum ?

    Hi,
There are some really talented marketers here on this forum. But, to get the best results please tell us what you're marketing.

The reason why is, doughnuts are promoted differently than bridges.

    What is your business?

    What are you selling?

    And what is your budget?

Those are the minimum to get back well thought out answers.

Welcome to the forum OP. The answer I've quoted here from Enfusia is the correct one to your post.

Also take note of all the posts recommending you method X or method Y as the best way to market your business. The people making these recommendations have exactly zero knowledge of what your business is, yet they have no problem providing definitive statements on how you should market it.

If you're going to spend much time on this forum, I'd highly recommend you get real good, real fast, at ignoring this kind of noise. There is a lot of it.

Now, as Enfusia, and some other posters have asked, can you tell us some more about what it is you do? The more detail you provide, the better. Vague questions will almost never result in quality answers, especially around here.

      Cheers

Your blog is your business. I think Press, TV and T-Shirt advertising is effective ways to promote business.

Apart from these techniques I think that a person should also use following methods to promote blog:

    1) Use social media
    2) Write for popluar blogs like Shoutmeloud
    3) Submit the URL to social bookmark sites like Digg and Delicious

I also learned these methods by reading posts from Shoutmeloud.

Read Guerrilla Marketing by Jay Conrad Levinson

It is an old book but I'd recommend you start by reading it as unless you have some significant marketing budget you need low cost ideas to help you get your business off the ground.

You can probably look it up in your local library or buy a copy from Amazon.

Here is a link to a revised edition.

    https://www.amazon.com/Guerilla-Mark.../dp/0618785914

Then look up some of Jay Abraham's old stuff.

I'm sure you can get some good material if you hunt around.

That would be my recommendation when starting out and money is tight and you need results.

    Best regards,

    Ozi

There are many. One of the easiest is to find a non competing business, related to yours, and help them promote your business to all of their customers.

This may be as simple as putting an offer on a business card and passing it out to each of their customers. It can bring you almost immediate business and can be repeated with other businesses - as many times as you'd like.

    Give it some thought.

Depends on your business. For some types of businesses, partnering with a no-for profit (say host some event for that non-for profit) can be a great way to go.

For others, sponsoring an event for the target audience (you're a marketer looking for dentists, you sponsor an event that caters to dentists) might be the way to go.

Sponsoring allows you to use the event organizer's credibility.

(The converse would be for you to run an event where you invite people with established credibility to participate.)

You need to tell us what type of business you're talking about.

Depends what kind of business it is. If say it was a food type business, I would be giving away free samples of my product to the public and then approach food outlets or restaurants passing out samples of what i was selling.

  • When it comes to offline marketing, you have a lot of options. To make it efficient, think about your market. Where are your customers? Where do they usually go?

Once you know where they are, you'll know where to give out your flyers, posters, etc.

Have u ever given free T-shirts yourself ? Any gifts?

I ask because it can get expensive fast.

Yes, lots of people will see your T-shirts. But what if none is your target audience.

People, the OP has chosen not to tell what their business does; how do u know what would work well for that business?

Plus, listing marketing methods is not useful.

Useful: describe a marketing campaign u did, the results u got, pitfalls u encountered or avoided.

      Better means what?

If I invest $1 in offline and get $2 back, is that worse than investing $1 in online and getting back $1.85, because online is better than offline?

There are no limits on advertising and marketing. You can advertise your business in any way you like. But, Let me tell you some trending promotional displays which are used by maximum numbers of businesses and these are - Roll up banner stands, tension fabric displays (racks, hanging signs etc) and billboards.
