BEST WAY TO GET LOCAL OFFLINE BUSINESSES

Call them, visit them, email them, send them mail, advertise where they look online and off, create joint venture opportunities with another business to promote to their list, etc. If you've been here for 7 years surely you have some ideas.

I have to ask,what kind of video reviews are you doing and why would these businesses need them? I do lots of business locally and not once through a video review. I might look up their Google reviews, maybe Yelp, or something else like that. No video reviews there. So I have a local business. Why do I need you? Also, are these legitimate reviews from paying customers or fake reviews like some offer on Fiverr and such?

So, you started a business without any idea of how to do business. Is that correct?

Why not maximize what you could do with your skill and not just focus on one thing such as these reviews? If you are really skilled in producing videos, you've got to explore other "features" aside from reviews. Video production is huge this year, I'm telling you.

If you create a fake review for my business, I don't want it.


If you send someone to get one of my current or past customers to say something about me and my business, Awesome. But I can't afford it. Or you cannot afford it to sell it to me at a price that makes sense for me.


If I want a video review of one of my customers, I can take out my mobile phone and get it done. Why would I need you?


I know of some business owners that did buy videos for their business, 360 degree view of their store.


I didn't think it was a great idea, advised against it... because of what they thought it would get them. But they bought, because to a clothing store owner that sounds like a good idea. Turned out it was not... Didn't do anything for them of what they thought it would.



But they had strange ideas, well-nurtured by the video seller.


But I can also see how such a video can be used profitably.


Anyway, I say no to video-reviews, though there are other ways to use your video-ing skills that would work.

As was mentioned earlier - if you have a low budget create your very own advertising medium - Postcards.

Do them in the shape of a TV camera - the larger the better - and send them to the people you most want as clients.

(helpful hint - make a barnstorming offer - when you get a response keep sending them - no great need to spend fortunes doing everything else - yes, yes an interweb site with all the trimmings is Ok).

For high end clients - spend a bit more - pick 5, 10, 15, 20 of your blue chip, top notch people - send a well crafted sales letter or a video with a barnstorming offer - posted in a film can - excellent chance it will be opened.

P.S. Barnstorming offer can be a fabulous price (it can be the lowest or if you can prove the extraordinary value it can be higher than anyone else's) or bursting with emotional happiness for clients - best bet do both.

What is client "emotional happiness?"

The best way to get local offline businesses as clients is to use those highly effective old methods... pay them a visit. Bring a tablet to show them your portfolio. Make business cards that have basic contact info and a simple domain linking to your portfolio and a video pitch. Drop those business cards off at all locations where they cannot sit for a few minutes.

Facebook ads are a good option but I don't know whether you can afford the budget for it. Well, apart from this online marketing I would like to suggest you go for outdoor advertising like street advertising in the initial time.
