Hey guys just wanted to share some success venturing outside the usual eCom,IM & FB Ad World, I started a Pet Sitting / Boarding business for my wife to run part time, created a landing page for her and fired some google ads at it, the results were astonishing! We ran GoogleAds for 21 days and after 66 Enquiries (35 Email Queries + 31 Phone Calls) from a $170.79 AdSpend & an amazing conversion rate of 14.54%!! (I use Clickfunnels)

We literately had to turn down requests, and were put into a position where we could be really picky in terms of what pets we were going to take in and look after, From this 21 days we managed to book out the next 3 months and had to say no to end of the year bookings as we are going on holidays! But if we didn't we could of had bookings until December!

The other amazing thing is we had a customer rebook his 2 dogs for next June & then again for Sept/Oct, he has paid 50% of both bookings to secure his spots! Amazing Life time value!!

We charge our customers anywhere from $35-50 per day per dog, depending on how many dogs, the size and breed.

Our ROI so far from this 21 days & $170.79 AdSpend is around 1600%, and the rest of the bookings still need to take place! So its a very strong ROI Generated.

But if we had to do this full time and employed people to help, out of the 66 enquiries that came through we generated potentially generated $10,000 - $15,000+ worth of business!

There is so much opportunity outside the usual world of eCommerce, IM and FB ads!

Don't get stuck, diversify

Cheers guys

It blows my mind when people say there's no work out there. It's everywhere, you just have to do something to get it. Good for you!

Just curious... Were you dog/pet sitting in peoples' homes or were you boarding the dogs/pets at your location?

Would you say the same business would work pet sitting at their owner's houses instead of sitting them at your own home? Just curious. I like the business idea, but not having the dogs/pets at my house. My house isn't set up for that.

          you must be joking???

Think about it.....some stranger now has access to your pets and house....are you going to vet them? How many nut jobs are waiting for that opportunity?

This is a disaster in the wings.....

Don't know what part of 'worldwide' you live in, but this is a very common practice and viable business model in the U.S.

Of course they supply references. You don't throw common sense out the window but you also don't assume that everyone doing it is a "nut job."

    That is very limited thinking.

We use a 'pet sitter' if we are out of town. She is bonded and insured - comes with references. We know when she arrives, when she leaves, whether there were any problems, how the animals were behaving, etc.....because she has a 'log sheet' that is on the counter and filled in each time she visits.

It's a lucrative small business - the animals remain in their home environment, there is 'someone' coming and going at the house 3 times a day which is good for security.

This woman loves animals and has experience with them - and she is professional in operating her business. From what i've seen, she does quite well. It's not a cheap service but less than boarding 5 animals....

A friend of mine hires a college student to stay at her home to care for her two dogs if she's out of town. In more urban areas, a 'pet friendly house sitter' might be a good business to start.

My ducks are absolutely not in a row. I don't even know where some of them are...
...and I'm pretty sure one of them is a pigeon.

Good job getting lots of new customers with your Google ads. Your ROI is amazing. From here, all you need to do is provide great customer service and you can build future business on repeat orders and referrals. All the best to you!

How long would you say do the dogs stay with you on average? Is it just overnight or for longer stays as well?
