Alright, everyone. I'm looking for some good suggestions from my educated Warriors.

I'm looking to get a batch of business cards printed up, and have tested the waters with various companies in the past, but have not been able to find that one clearly "best" company.

So I'd like for you all, with your experience, to weigh in. What is your preferred company or service for your business card needs?

Thanks,
Vince

I just design them with Avery and have Office Depot print them on demand.

I go with Vistaprint for the majority of my cards.

However, if I am in a pinch for cards or if I have an idea for a special card for a function I am attending, then I will create it and print it the same day using Staples.com

I typically use their basic/blank template and then upload my graphics and make modifications.

I could probably spend my time better, but I like playing around with the cards.

I finally just settled with Vistaprint as well. Designed my own using their designer software. The cool (or sad, depending how you look at it) thing about vistaprint is that once you're on their list, they seem to have "the most outrageous sale of the year" email campaigns every other day.

All for different reasons, but you usually can get a good deal with them due to the hyped up sales blitzes they are always having.

    Best,
    Will

Was going to try VistaPrint out - but "standard shipping" for $6 takes 21+ days? Hm.

Maybe on 2nd thought, Staples it is.

I use my local MinuteMan Press - when it comes to business cards, I like to touch and feel and see before I invest - it's tough to do that online....

I would advise you to think a lot about how HOT your business card is.

Make sure you'll be never forgotton because of your business card, especially because you work in the marketing business you can be creative.

Take a look at this video to see what I mean.

Notice one thing Joel Bauer says, this is a VERY profitable sentence: "You don't spend the money until you've made the money" - REAL GOLD here!

Make business think WOW he must be successful only by looking at your business cards, this is genius!

actually, when it comes to business card printing, i'm quite particular. Usually, I'll have an idea of what I want my card to have typed and designed on it, the layout, the colors, the thickness, the lamination, the die-cut and trimmed edges. I sketch it out, maybe have a couple of sketches, then I have a couple of graphic designer friends whom I'll speak to and get them to get it done for me in PSD format, where I can review it on my computer, and perhaps print on the printer with the best settings, to see how it'd look on paper.

Then I'd speak to my printer, and see what he can come up with, especially with the color and the lining and the occasional "bleeding" at the edges, and when I'm happy, I'll check with my wife. =p

Then my family and friends on what the card elicits, what I can change, and I change the copy, change the design if necessary, and then try again.

When I'm finally satisfied that it can do what i want it to do, then i print. =)
When I print, i choose the thickest quality paper (now i'm even considering plastic or metal), laminations, with smooth finishing.

Anal, but it does what i want it to do, which is to leave impressions and to generate leads, and best, to generate discussion and interest.

Here is a few vendors I have used from time to time.

    5000BizCards.com - 5000 Business Cards for $79.00 Only

    FLYER PRINTING

Brochures: Color Brochure Printing & Pamphlet Printing ~ OvernightPrints.com

I'm sure some of these places have changed their prices and or deliverly times, but at the time I used them, they were either the fastest shipping, or the lowest prices for the product I was having printed.

Joels card looks really good however it would go in the draw or the bin because if it doesnt fit in my card wallet I am not going to keep it.

I often scroll through my card file for things I need and I think so do a lot of other businesses. As I get a bunch I add them into my CRM and chuck the cards to make searching even easier.

I think lots of businesses do this as well.

We have a very basic card printed on nice stock. We print them in house on our laser printer so can change anything anytime. I only print 20 or 30 and so if I want to add something else I can immediately.

I was thinking of using business cards in my community. I like to place business cards promoting my product of building a passive income online in Home Business and Entrepreneurship books. If anybody picks up that book at
the bookstore, your business card will fall out into their hands.
Also, if you receive junk mail, like everybody does, take the pre-paid envelope out(usually all of these credit card offers have them) and place a business card in them and mail them out. Usually, you will have a college student/part time/mail room person who will open it where ever it goes, and maybe you found a new prospect. Set up your autoresponder under a different index page and track your results.

Not hard. I was just thinking of any other ideas anyone has of marketing offline to target your segment.

Thanks. I look forward to any input anyone has.

Vista Print is fine for small quantities but very expensive for larger quantities.

If you are looking for professional PSD business cards you can tweek to your own needs try graphicrivers.com they have some great designed biz templates from as little as $5-10. You need Photoshop. You can then print them sourself on a color laser printer or take/send the file to your printer for larger quanities
