Need an offline Marketing Mentor

Hello All!!,

My name is Chris I have been studying internet marketing for the better part of 6 years now, this is the first year that I actually have made money mainly because the previous years have been all studying.

I really want to break into the offline realm and start my own Internet marketing/SEM business for local business'. I just recently registered my business with the state and I began building my website www.mogulmapmedia.com. I really need help getting started my problem is I get so many ideas that I usually end up confusing myself. I'm looking for an experienced offline marketing mentor to help me, I know you all are very very busy but I figured I'd post a thread and see what happens.

I was offered $6k for my niche sites and mailing lists and didn't know if it would be a good idea to sell and invest the money into my offline efforts, what do you think. I have about another $2k from an email promotion so all together I can squeeze out about $8K maybe to invest. I'm really not sure where to begin, how to get customers, what to offer ect.? I really would like to go out and get the customers then outsource the work? what do you think?

Is there anyone out there who can help me? I'm deffinetly no slacker or lazy I'm willing to do whatever it takes. My goal is to quit my full-time job and be able to do it full time. I appreciate any help possible.

Thanks in advance,
-Chris

      Hi Chris,

These guys are at the top of the game.

They have different levels of support and mentoring.

You can private label their outsorcing team to do all the backroom stuff.

There is a support forum too.

      Kyle Tully, James Schramko

      All the best,
      Ewen

        Hi Chris

Good on you for being prepared to put "everything" on the line - that's what it takes and you will get success.

Just make sure you pick the right mentor as the wrong one can cost you a ton of time, money and frustration.

        All the best

On private labeling their outsourcing team are you just talking about ordering the different link building/site design/content building products or is there some other stuff I am missing out on too?

        Thanks for the input!

You really don't need to invest money to sell your services to local businesses.

In fact if you're are investing money upfront beyond a few hundred dollars (or less) then you're probably going to screw up.

The best thing you can do is just start.

You don't need a website or business cards or anything except the willingness to talk to business owners and genuinely help them using the skills you already have to make them more sales and profits.

You can start by talking to the owners of businesses you already know, the business owners where you're spending money, the business owners your friends and family know.

You can also go to business networking meetings and anywhere else you can think of where business owners congregate.

And ask everyone you talk to who they know.

The skill you need to develop starting out is talking to business owners in a low key way...simply asking questions and listening.

From there you'll get insights into their business, how they make their money, where their customers are coming from, what they want from their business and you'll also find that you'll see ways you could help them using the internet marketing strategies you have.

When you've gathered enough information and built some rapport you can start making suggestions until you make one the business owner gets excited about.

Establish the potential dollar value to the business owner of that suggestion, get at least 50% in advance and run with it.

      Simple really.

You don't need to sell everything you own or invest money to do this.

It really just comes down to taking action...getting yourself face to face with as many business owners as you can when you're starting out and having long conversations with them where you ask questions and do a lot of listening.

      Kindest regards,
      Andrew Cavanagh

    Hi Chris

There are plenty promoting marketing for local business.

Where to start is anybodies guess. I am a bit like you.

However Andrew's reports look like a great place to start
