Merchant Circle Question

I sign all of my clients up to Merchant Circle
and then forget about it.

I do get requests from other business owners
to connect with them via Merchant Circle.

Is there any advantage to doing that?

Just trying to keep it as simple as possible?

Thanks,
Blase

I would go ahead and connect with them, unless they intend to spam your clients. I can't prove this, but I get the impression that it boosts your profile to be more interlinked with the rest of the site.

I agree with EagleRock - accept all the invites you get.

Any time you update a MerchantCircle account with a blog post, an update, an image, etc. - it shows up in the account activity for everyone who is connected. For instance, if you add a coupon, all merchants connected to the account are notified. You need to post in MerchantCircle to network and attract the SEs.

Thank you both for the response.
I'll try it with one client and see what happens.

Networking is networking. I have an account on MerchantCircle and it serves me well. I make a few contacts and it helps. Never know what may be down the road. I don't spend a lot of time there. They also have a section where you can answer question and get more exposure.

      True enough.

I've received a lot of those questions, after I answered one I got
a lot more. I didn't see the value in answering them because they
were all for out of state, my customers are local service providers.
Local exposure great, out of a 50 mile radius, not so much.

Optimize and boost a client's Merchant Circle listing page for another spot on a search result listing.

      Thanks, done that.

The only reason I put clients on these sites is for
Citations for better Google Places listing.

Of course some of them also end up on page 1,
      which is another nice benefit.
