Local SEO/ Multiple Location Issue

I am focusing purely on getting companies listed in GP and then referring all natural seo to others. I have been running into the problem of some potential clients who want to do literally a few hundred listings across the US if I can solve the location issue.

Since virtual office/ups suites are not very cost effective, I was wondering if you have a suggestion. I don't want to black hat the locations, since these will be long term clients. I have the phone issues solved.

Your insight would be appreciated.

Don't do it. If they do not have a location in the city, don't scam google they will ban your account. I've had a restaurant chain in 1 metro area want to do 4 cities that they're located in. Each one is a totally new entity and a charge like a new customer.

They do have a presence in every location that they want to be listed in. They service each area but from central locations, up to 60 miles in any direction. They want to be able to be found in more than just where they are located but also where they service since they do it everyday. I am trying to find a way to legitimately help them be found locally in each city they service.

Anyone know of a way to get a local address in a cost effective way?

        Hi LocalD

Some people have mentioned using serviced offices as legitimate addresses, or even storage places.

We haven't gone down that path but understand that they are reasonably priced?

        regards

Not much action, I guess not too many people have ran into this issue. Or everyone just black hats it.

If they have physical locations at every address...than you have every right to build a GP for each location. I've already come across this several times...especially for clients that own several franchises.

Read above, the don't have an office in every city, they have hubs.

Well.....I'm sorry for misinterpreting your message earlier

you did say they have a presence (but they really don't because they don't have a business address) in each location...btw....what is a hub?

If they do service the area...than ON-PAGE website optimization and local directories are the way to go.....IMO....

The ON-Page technique of including service areas in context and additional areas on their website should help....of course this is going to take a lot of time no matter what you do....

Pm me with an email or skype and I can tell you a lot more. I apologize that I don't have the post count up enough yet to do so myself. I'd be happy to show you or anyone else how to implement local search more.

A citation is basically a link in map land. A "write up/review" on a business directory like Yelp or Superpages.
It still sounds like they're trying to "game" the system. Getting recognized in different locations with having a physical location there is not what Google Places is for.
You want to go "BH" look up realtors in the area and find an empty lot address to use.

I am trying to find a way to either legitimately do virtual type office locations or find out if anyone has a service that can provide addresses in bulk in most major cities in the US.

Does Google frown upon PMB's? I imagine it's the same deal as it is with PO Boxes... But not certain...

    Anyone?

    Thanks,

    Russell =)

Have you tried using the "service area" instead of a physical address in your GP listings? This can solve the multiple location / multiple city issues...the service area option allows for the phsyical address not to be shown....instead choosing specific local areas, zipcodes, or a radius (in miles) from the city center...

Google looks for a unique phone number for each listing....I handle this with magicjack.....(i'm guessing google phone would work too??)

This link shows exactly how to use the service area...

I would like to get listed in multiple locations too but I personally wouldn't violate it. Rahter have one listing than completely blacklisted.
