Offering Video Services - Is It Worthwhile?

Hello Warriors,

I'd like to ask, what is the potential for offline businesses to offer video services?. Yes we can create stunning videos, but how can we effectively use them that will profit the business?

Thanks in advance.

I'd start with Google Places videos, organic video results (if you blast out to the major ones and backlink them with local anchor text you are well on your way), youtube channels tied into other social mediums....hmm.

Depending on the niche there are PLENTY of offline uses for great promo videos as well, whether in their own place of business or during other offline/networking/contests/promotions...

Not to mention, you could probably create better videos than those horrid local ads if your client was really looking into local TV ad spending as well.

    Just some starter ideas...

    video works!

But don't be lazy and do that lame sideshow stuff. Work with your local clients and bring a camera in, even a little FLIP HD would be sufficient. Get in there and film a video of the interior, exterior, food (if it's a resturant) and some of the managers/employees.

This alone will give people a look into their establishment which more than likely leads them to consider that place over one without videos...

    Give it a shot

Actual video over photo slideshow I think is better. For me, I am trying to rank my YouTube vid in organic results for now for my own business, then see if i Can do it for other clients!

There is not doubt that video is the way to go. I have used video in all my businesses and they help. I personally like like video over stills. I think they have a higher perceived value.

Easy money actually ....very powerful way to make money (and even barter for something you need).

I've built a website that I show my clients offering my video services.

    (check it out here)

The site sells itself and I outsource all my work.

    Success to you,

    Hi Brian

Videos can be an amazing tool for businesses. In our view you are on the right track. Just run with the some of the ideas put forward by Jim (see below) as he actually uses videos in his marketing.

I think as internet marketers we have access to an amazing array of video templates and creation services (including some great ones right here on this very forum!) that make it so easy for even the most "green" newbie to outsource professional looking videos that would make a favorable impression on the average layman and person on the street. (Many take this amazing access and opportunity for granted though).

Basically, I think anyone with some guts and gumption could go out and land a few video jobs just by talking to local businesses in the neighborhood, and then completely outsource it here and elsewhere on the internet for pennies on the dollar.
