Great advice. One of the points Tim mentions in this video is to tell all of your family and friends about your offline business, which you absolutely should do. You'd be surprised at how many of them will bring you leads.

I have actually stopped doing this personally. It has just
been my own experience that business I get referred by
family typically comes with the idea that I will build a website
      for next to nothing.

When I let them know about prices the usual response is "Well,
I thought that since I know your [FILL IN THE BLANK] that you
could do it for [FILL IN A RIDICULOUS PRICE]."

Just my own experience though, hope others are doing better
with their referrals than I am.

I had a restaurant owner try that one on me about a commercial. My reply? Well since you know my Dad, you can give me food for (ridiculous price). I'm a smart ass and sometimes my mouth shoots off, I fully expected him to get mad or lose the sale, but he just laughed and said, boy you are just like your Daddy. I wouldn't advise you to use that technique, but what I would advice you to say is....I wish I could, but you know how it is, lets see what we can work out. Maybe offfer him a discount, or throw in a freebie that he might find attractive. You just have to counter it, its just part of the game.

    Love this vid! Really.

Randy Gage talks about a universal law of circulation... you have to get your idea out of the esoteric (imagination) and release it to the physical world and put the idea into circulation.

That means "Telling other people about it"! Family? Not family? Whoever... Gettin it out of simply your OWN head, and planting it in others as well, spreading it around, getting energy around it, creating a little buzz everywhere you go... planting the seed.

You know, once people find out I play guitar... every time they come across a guitar pick or another player... there is a mental connection to me. I get gifts like people will say "Hey I found these old picks and I thought of you", or they will say "Hey I ran into this musician the other day who had this opportunity open, and I told him about you, he wants you to call him...".

Every seed you plant has potential to grow , even in casual conversation.

TALK ABOUT YOUR IDEAS WHEREVER YOU ARE! Put them in circulation.

It wont be hard if you are excited about them!

Really related to this vid. Thanks.

My first 3 (and only 3) clients are people I know. I didn't do it on the cheap either, but nor did I go over-board in pricing. Biggest reason I did it this way was to find out if I really wanted to do offline and the only way was to get my feet wet. I now know that I really like it and am looking to expand. The threads here at WF have been incredibly helpful in sharing ideas of getting more clients and I thank you for your video.

As a former telemarketer, I like what have been seeing about calling local businesses and am looking into it further. But yea, getting the first client or two or three is easiest by just getting the word out to people we know. Thanks again for the video
