Landing new local clients with adwords

Does anyone here use adwords to get new customers?

I know adwords is difficult to make profitable for a lot of things but as the value per customer increases it becomes feasible.

Surely if you can make your customers lifetime ones, the value per customer will be huge and so this method of getting new business should work right?

Does anyone do this and have any tips?

      I was wondering the same thing. I think IM going to go ahead and try out and adwords campaign and see how it works.

    I am an advanced adwords user and I haven't yet been able to make it profitable for generating leads for my local SEM business. I have also ran a dozen different test with Facebook ads and LinkedIN ads and neither showed very good ROI for generating leads for SEM. So far for me offline direct response marketing and social media have had by far the best returns.

    I'm not giving up though I have a bunch of new strategies I getting ready to test.
