Software for Citation Building

Does the reviews comming from IP address of the same city the promoted business is?
If not, its not exciting me that much.

Thanks for the heads-up Dexx, that software looks great - it'll save time and finds very targeted sites. I'll pick it up and give it to the staff to enter citations manually then : )

Some great tips shared. However, never go with an automated tool. It simply does not work. What I preach and practice is doing it manually. Here are a few tips:

1. Hire someone on Elance. Just search "citations" on find freelancer search box. https://www.elance.com/r/contractors/q-citations/. My personal recommendation is Mrs. Jain and her team but take your own call.
2. Choose the one that has good reviews and have done reasonably good number of jobs. Something over 50.
3. Hire and ask for what sites they can build citations on along with Domain Authority.
4. If there are some sites that require phone verification, ask them to make a note. There should be a maximum of 10-15 sites that require phone verification.
5. Ask the contractor for a report on existing citations and COMMUNICATE clearly to avoid duplicate listing.
6. Make a package deal with them on cost per 50 or 100 citations.
7. Get the report with all username and passwords.
8. Spot check some of the citations.

For the sites that require phone verification, you can do couple of things:

1. Have the phone number of the business forwarded to the U.S. phone number of the contractors (During your non-business hours of course). All those that requires verification will be handled under 2 hours.

2. You be at the customer's place for a couple of hours for managing the sites that require verification. This will benefit you to have a good rapport with customers, as well as getting the verification done via your contractors.

Job done under $60.

Citations are a listing in a local business directory.
This will include the business NAP (Name, address, phone number) and other info.

For instance, a local law office will have its NAP listed in an "attorney directory". This is 1 citation.

Citation software would be something that puts these citations into directories automatically. This is not recommended because it won't work correctly. It's best to do it manually.

Actually I feel like going there and giving a negative review since I hate looking at very old threads that people dig up just to promote themselves

I for one am soooo sick of it. I also love when they come in with stupid comments cause their translator program doesn't work.
