Where can I go to hire someone to write a 30-50 page book about the benefits of SEO/Internet Marketing to small-to-medium size businesses?

Or, is there a WSO or book/download somewhere out there already that I can use/pay for?

I plan on getting some books made and direct mailing them to my web design/hosting clients.

Thanks in advance guys!

Small business owners will never read a 30-50 page eBook you send them, sorry. Most of these people are working 40-80 hrs a week trying to stay afloat.

You're going to incur a lot of unnecessary expense direct mailing these with very poor results. Moreover, your BEST prospects will be companies that were burned by other SEO/PPC/ReachLocal (cough) companies, so you don't need to sell them on the benefits of Internet Marketing...you need to show them what YOU can do, and how you are different from the company that they cannot stand and now are questioning the benefits of SEO/social, etc.

Send e-mails, call, send videos, or pop-in with a mobile website sample to get their attention (for free).

If you do decide to go the "published" route, which can work if you are using it correctly...perhaps at networking events and what not, etc....you should also package it with some customized/personalized information dedicated strictly to THEIR business...essentially what Jason is saying to do: Show them that you are on their team.

As for the WSO book, when I get an extra moment I'll post some WSOs if I can still find them...I remember seeing a few different titles.

Thanks for the input, guys. I was talking to a guy on another forum who was talking about a very successful direct mailing campaign he did. He sent out 5 pieces and got 3 clients out of it.

We were messaging back and forth and he basically said that he mailed a sales letter with a call to action along with a book (about 30 pages) that showed the benefits of SEO/Internet Marketing.

He used Manta to target only companies that made over 1M per year and had less than 20 employees and made the piece direct delivery so it would only get delivered to the owner and he would have to personally sign for it.

I was thinking of doing a similar method, but with a usb with a video file of me explaining everything instead of the book.

    Thoughts? On this guy's method/reasoning I mean.

Oh, also. The letter was HIGHLY tailored to each business he sent it to.
