I'm looking for a software using the infousa data set and that also pulls data from Places and provides reports that can be used in offline consulting.

Anyone know of a software that can do this?
Thank you

I don't know of any software that grabs infousa data. However, you can probably get a coder to design a simple low cost script to do that for you.

I use Power Leads Pro which does everything else you mentioned.

I've heard about power leads pro before, is it really as simple to use as the sales page makes it seem? and are the leads up to date..meaning does it have a lot of *bounce backs* or invalid emails, etc..? I'm guessing it's good if you're using it lol I'm just starting to look into it now.

Yes, Power Leads Pro is an easy to use system. It really is an autopilot software.

It grabs an incredible amount of info on potential clients which you can input into personalized emails. For example, add their name, SERP ranking, Google Places info, etc.

Regarding outdated info, it does happen but remember the info comes from the business owner's website, yellow page listing, google places, etc. It tends to be correct because the owners want the public to contact them to do business.

Another great function is that the system has scheduling (which is a feature I suggested here on WF and Matt added). It's set it and forget it work.

Does Power Leads Pro collect info from Australia also? or only US?

I'm not sure but I think PLP does do Australia. I've never tried doing any work outside the US. However, I seem to remember reading on the original WSO post where people from UK and Australia asked the same question and Matt said yes.

    Thanks in advance,

    William & ProfessorSEO,

Let me first say that I'm a fan of Power Leads Pro and an affiliate. I believe in giving full honest reviews and disclosure.

    Here's the bad about PLP:

    - You get a lot of bounces and "take me off your list" type of responses

    - The program often has some glitches or bugs that slows down the system

    - Matt is constantly updating the system so you have to keep downloading a "new" version. This happens almost weekly and sometimes several times a week which can be annoying.

    Here's the good:

    - As stated above, Matt is constantly updating the system. While that can be annoying, it's good to know that he's supporting his product and keeping it up to date to deal with continual changes from Google and the rest.

    - It's an incredible time saver. You can just do so much in such a short time. The time it takes you to cold call or go to a Chamber meeting, I can reach thousands of people.

    - The Google Places, Sales pages personalization, and new Adwords plugins are incredible. You can send an automated blast but it's so personal with specific details of a business that it doesn't look like spam.

    - You can target so many people with very niche offers on a scheduled basis. I used to have an issue of "which service do I promote". Should I do SEO, social media, Google Places, etc. Now, you can target the same list over again with specific niche offers. So I can target each service listed above to the same list with different email addresses (from a feeder site or just a gmail address) at prescheduled times to a personalized landing page. VERY COOL.

So yes the system has some drawback but it's basically a numbers game. You pump out offers and even though the conversion rate is low, it's worth it.

Example: I just used PLP to send an email blast to 4096 real estate agents in my area. I got 542 click throughs (11% CTR) to my landing page and 3 conversions (.07% of the total blast / 0.55% of the click throughs).

In this case the conversion was to signup to be an affiliate for a client's real estate product. I didn't calculate the bounce rate because all I care about is the CTR and conversions.

This all took a few hours (could have been done quicker but I was doing some special customizations on the emails.) If I wanted to I could schedule the system to run on auto pilot and target the same list with special niche offers.

Hope this helps. If you need more info let me know.

I agree with Mike about PLP.

      It's a very powerful program

Drives you nuts how often it's updated but now the updates happen automatically which helps a lot. Its' good that its updated so often since any of these types of programs need to be updated often because the sources of the information is constantly changing.

I have another lead generating program that is good but hasn't worked right in 3-4 weeks since the source made some changes. They are working on it so I'm sure it's just days away from working completely again but that's one of the downsides of these programs. PLP has been able to get their updates done much more quickly when a source changes something.

With PLP the support is very good and responsive but one on thing that would be much more help would be more extensive documentation and video tutorials. It has a manual and 1 video tutorial and they have occasional webinars but there are so many things that can be done with this that it should have much more documation and videos. I find myself trying to figure out much of it by trial and error and that's frustratiing at times and not very efficent.

Have you promoted any offers for your services (SEO, SMS,etc.) specifically and did you receive favorable responses from that as well? Or is it more for offers like the real estate affiliate example?

I expected the bounce rate and other minor issues, you get those with virtually ANY decent program, but this one seems to cover most every angle and more angles being added all the time!

I look forward to your response and thanks again for your extra effort in breaking it down for us.
    William,

Yes, I've promoted services via PLP. The conversion rate is about the same as the example I mentioned with the real estate agents which is why I used it. The only difference is the CTR is not usually that high.

Over time you'll learn what subject lines get the highest opens and CTR. But that doesn't always lead to conversions. Sometimes it's better to be specific in your title which means less opens but possibly more conversions. I'm playing with this now.

But with this system you can test as often as you want at no extra cost and very little time on your part. It's much easier to do than something like split testing landing pages.

I haven't done this yet but you can very easily train an employee, outsourcer, or even an intern to use the system and do all the emailing for you.

It's all about freeing your time and being more productive.

Hope this helps. Any more questions feel free to ask.

P.S. I received a PM from a fellow Warrior and he felt that PLP was a little confusing to use. He felt the package needed some tutorial videos. If people are interested I can put some together. It will give everyone a good overview of the system. Let me know if it's something you'd like to see.
