Local Mobile Monopoly

This is more of a question than an informative view of a particular item.

I'm especially curious about any success stories related to Local Mobile Monopoly. I personally think it is the next wave of advertising, and if companies don't find some form of utilizing the smart phone platform, they will be dinosaurs. Just my opinion. My gut tells me this is a winner.

Any experiences, opinions?

We've (Trumpia) heard feedback from all over the map on this one, informative but lacked ongoing support seems to be the consensus.

You're correct, everything is rapidly moving in that direction. The overwhelming theme now beginning to surface is that a large majority of businesses (1)do NOT have a mobile strategy, (2) admit they do not have the staff or talent to understand how to develop such a strategy.

They know they need to be there, just unsure how to begin or refine their strategy.

I dont think it will be as radical as they will become dinosaurs but it is certainly a way to develop new traffic and leads for their business.

I have to agree with Quentin and Roger on this. It is a good platform, but I doubt NOT using it will put anyone in the dinosaur category. As long as businesses are moving forward with technology in some capacity and staying on top of emerging marketing techniques, they will still be ok.

Obviously, mobile marketing is hot right now, and more people are using their mobile devices than their computers to get information right now, but for the time being, some consumers will continue to seek their info with laptops, etc., and some folks will never move into the smartphone era...(my father, for example...lol)

I find it is best to offer clients a package deal that gives them exposure through various platforms so they have a broad reach and aren't leaving anyone out.

SMS helped my business in a way, but it wasn't so effectively done. So I diverted in some other ways of promoting my biz.
