Hi,

Is anyone selling custom mobile apps and if so do you mind sharing how you get them built,, all I see is that they are expensive to have built. Any ideas or suggestions? Thanks,

Try freelancer.com, and yes they are very pricey but that doesn't matter if your client is paying for it.

I think mobile apps will be a big thing in a few months... I think it's a bit early for some type of businesses to deal with apps. You are right, they are expensive to have build so you have to charge a good amount for them and it will be hard to sell a mobile app to a local business specially... I think mobile sites and sms services are the big thing now.. just my .02 cents

You can get software that can make simple apps such as the droidgenerator.com. Either use it to make your own promos and ads or make them for clients. The droid app market is huge and hardly even tapped. There is also tons of similar app maker software for the iPhone.

I find only certain business types are good for apps. ALL businesses are good for mobile websites though. Just my opinon.

I'm sure you've heard of protesters against conglomerates like Microsoft and now Apple making too much money, right? Well, enter the anti-apple itunes app store group that needs no marketplace approval, hosts unlimited apps for free, turns websites into apps that look better than mobile sites and hosts them for free too.

Mobile apps have replaced mobile websites but people don't seem to be ready to accept that fact yet. They are so easy to make into anything you want now, who is going to pay anyone for a mobile website if they can get an app and update it instantly whenever they want, push news to their customers, sell their products, have the maps and QR codes integrated and do it all themselves with free hosting?

One thing I see and maybe I am wrong but you just can't build one app,, it has to be built for i phones and androids which leads me to wonder what about all of the other platforms that are out there,, what do you do with them?

you are right, you have to get apps built for each device. I've seen big real state companies have apps that sync with the phone's GPS and shows a map with the houses for sale around the area etc. I guess it all depends on what type of business because why would a restaurant have an APP where they can just have the mobile site instead? you can put a bookmark of a mobile site on your phone and have the mobile site show up.

Creating an Android app has a much lower barrier to entry but if you are serious about apps across all platforms outsourcing will be the best option. If your looking for an easier way to create income from the mobile market you could try providing businesses with mobile websites and QR codes.

Wow I guess JULY was the happening month in the Mobile Marketing Industry namely, the 2-hour "Webinar Special" that is supposed to have been taken down a long time ago.

First it was $697 with 2 easy payments of $397 for an extra $100 with 5 easy payments of $197 each on exit for another $300 if you didn't have the $697.

Less than a month later it went up to $997 with 3 easy payments of $445 for another $340 in case you don't have the $997 so I made that 2nd option for $199 on the right side of their "Webinar special" which goes to the offer in my Signature!

The difference between mine and theirs is NOT the software - except what I have IS way better and ALOT cheaper - that's not even the biggest issue. They have a lot of extra "informational" material designed to keep you bogged down so you never notice you're not even running a business.

No wonder people don't make any money - 97% of their customers won't either but they won't know that until AFTER the 30 days is up - again, crazy stupid!! I want long-term partners not pissed off customers - and have to change my name! Anyway let me know what you think.
