QR Code Cash

Because I've gotten LOTS from this Forum...I'd like to "give some back".

I just heard from one of my "students". He reports he's sold his 36th restaurant on paying him $180 to $270 per Month.

Before telling what he's doing, here's a little background;

A year ago July (this month) I discovered how to sell restaurants on paying me to make Videos for them.

I enjoy making videos and one day I was in the electronic section of Wally World and happened to see a "Portable DVD Player" (Phillips $80) The clerk showed me how it worked on batteries and ran a test DVD for me and the quality was pretty good.

So...I bought it and rushed home and put together a DVD of 10 Photos of a restaurant I had taken for my "Restaurant Guide Book" I had created for a Hotel Lobby project (restaurants spend lots of money and time on their "Interiors" however....their "Interiors" are not seen until diners get Inside! My "Restaurant Guide" lets Hotel Guests "Pre-View" local restaurants with Interior Photos)

I used Photo Story 3 (free) and whala.....put together a "Slide-Show" Video with appropriate background music and burned a DVD....inserted it into my Portable DVD Player and HOLY SCHAMOLY....it was GREAT!

So...I went down to the best Italian restaurant in my town....asked the owner if I could show him something that would help his business. Set the Portable Player on his desk, flipped it on and....he LOVED it!

I told him I could make a similar DVD for him if he'd allow me to take some photos and come back tomorrow and show him what it looks like...at NO Obligation whatsoever. He responded with, "Go For It!"

So I snapped some shots with my 6megapix digital...went home...made the video and burned a DVD. Went back the next day...ran the DVD in the Portable Player and....HE BOUGHT! ($350 plus an extra $150 for YouTube and Tube Mogul submission)(I've changed my pricing format since where I now get Monthlies)

So...I was off and running on one of my many money-making creations (I uploaded 2 Samples of Videos I started with....at the bottom of this post)

Now....fast forward to Jan of this year. One of my long time "Net Buddies" calls and tells me he's in a DESPERATE Financial State and about to lose his house.

So...I hop in my car the next morn....pick him up and go to a nice restaurant....show the owner my Sample DVD....got his permission to take some photos...went to another person's home who could "Burn" DVDs. Went back to the restaurant after lunch and WHAMO-BANGO...a Sale.

My buddy was EXCITED to say the least.

Anyway...he's been doing "Slide-Show" videos and got an expensive smart phone with Flash-Ready (these can run videos)

A few mos ago he started making "Mobile" sites for restaurants and got a "Flash"; Why not make a "Mobile-Site Directory" of restaurants? and... because he knew how my "Restaurant Menu Guides" were so well received by Hotels....he made up a Display that sits on Hotel's Front Desks.

On this Display is a BIG "QR Code" that Hotel Guests can scan in and be taken to the "Restaurant Directory...where they can SEE VIDEOS of local restaurants.

He charges $30/mo per hotel and has 6 Hotels in each area....for a total of $180/mo per restaurant. That's for the basic Mobile-ready site. If they want a Video...he charges an extra $15/mo x 6 = $270/mo.

Now...QR Codes are great. Lots of people like us "Warriors" can create Mobile Sites and QR Codes. However....HOW do consumers or potential customers/clients/patients SEE the QR Codes so they can scan them in?

Well....the QR Code creator (sales person) has to put the Codes where they can be seen....Newspaper....Flyers....some are even placed on "Property For Sale" signs for House-Hunters to scan in while in their cars.

Great! So....if we zero in on our "Restaurant" Niche...and "Tourists Staying at local Hotels"....we've got a Winner!

Here's who our "Target Market" is; Tourists who are usually HUNGRY and do NOT bring FOOD with them. They have money and are willing to spend it at a nice local restaurant.

They also HAVE SMARTPHONES that can Scan QR Codes.

So....when a "Hungry" tourist...with a SmartPhone...checks into one of our Hotels....they see our Display...which tells them to "Scan This Code for Restaurant Info!" (with a picture of a SmartPhone and a Listing of the participating restaurants)

Whala! I don't know about you folks reading this but....my buddy just hit a BONANZA! He puts 12 restaurants in each group of 6 Hotels. Gets a "Dollar a Day" for each of 6 area hotels....6 bux a day x 30 = $180/mo PLUS an extra 50cents a day (x 6 = $3 + $6 = $9/day ($270/mo) if they want Video...and most of them do!)

It takes him about a month to set up the 6 Hotels and 12 restaurants. So, in the last 3 mos...he's put together 3 areas of 6 Hotels each...18 Hotels and 36 Restaurants.

So....I hope you enjoyed the above. I'm sorry....I'm NOT selling anything here....nor am I answering many questions. I described the basics and gave details on what to use and how to use them. It's enough for most of you to figure out how to put this together.

I just wanted to "give something back".

The Business is out there. You just have to "GoGetIt"!

Hotels LOVE this because it provides HelpFul Info for their Guests AND...makes them look more professional....all at NO Charge!

Restaurants LOVE this because it reaches "Hungry Tourists With Money, Looking for Places to Eat!"

Hotel Guests LOVE it because it brings Info they WANT...right into their "hot, little hands"!...even without having to TYPE in anything! Just aim their camera at the QR Code...snap the picture and up comes the local Restaurant Directory....even Videos...of local places to eat!

And WE...LOVE it because it's an EASY SALE....to Hotels (it's FREE to them) and Restaurants (the price is Fair and...it brings them business from a Great Target-Market!)....and....$270/mo x 12 = $3,240 PER GROUP OF 6 HOTELS....with NO COST and NO TIME spent on "maintenance"!

Just "Set It and Forget It!" except for sending your PayPal Invoices each month!...which you can do from your LapTop while in your Sail Boat heading to Bermuda!...or on the beach at Waikiki!
