jesus man... you may be in for a long road.. Do yourself a favor and try to find a private investor, unless you need big money, then your options are loan programs (of every size and shape) angel investors or venture capitolists, small business startup loan programs in your local area may be the place to start if you are looking for 100k+

look into sba programs, credit cards there all kinds of programs... but honestly, without credit, and in this economy, be prepared to be dissapointed in the help you'll find.

Not trying to discourage, but i've been there... im actually starting this business as ultimately a funding source to keep my passion projects going and be able to pay my bills...

Unless you have a professional plan with an undisputably viable product/sercvice, a handsome and CLEAR return on investment, competent management team, and exit strategy, with sound knowledge of the market etc... You'll probly get the run around.

keep the faith brother! Start by doing a swat analysis or similar and researching thoroughly to make sure you've got a viable product and idea, because if so, you are going to be putting a lot of work into this...

But persist and persist and persist and you'll get there eventually.

Start researching and find out if the idea is solid and feasible, and then start ironing out the plan... keep us posted.

    Good luck, were with you.

Thanks for this it really helps but i know it's going to work everyone i've tested it on has gave me rave reviews i am even helping a huge company with something ( i don't want to say to much sorry guys and girls and anything else in between).

I have sales experience and currently have 2 top sales managers in the running after explaing my plan without giving away the secret there is top dollar to be made.

I have no business plan nothing but i know i need one as i said my credit history is disgraceful to be honest but this needs to become legit and i'm wondering if theres a method to get this all down on paper done properly and what would be the fee's?

      Thank you in advance

    Hi,

You need to contact the business registrar in your locality. We have a county office in Orange County, CA that allows us to pick and register a name for our business for a few bucks. Then you have to have a business announcement in a local business newspaper for a couple of weeks. When I did this a few years back the entire thing cost me $50.

Yeah, if you are worried about your business name you need to file in your local area. Search for your area's local chamber of commerce, you can usually find a good number of resources and information there regarding setting up a business. Also, it might be a good idea to register the domain name you want.

You should also check out your local SBA (Small Business Administration) for help and information/resources in starting your business. They should also be able to assist you in writing a business plan or at least pointing you in the right direction.

If you have some top-notch sales people that are hyped up about this like you say they are, you should consider the possibility of offering a partnership/significant company role in exchange for their complimentary skills if they have any. This is not meant to insult but rather just a heads up, your lack of proficient writing skills and possible inability to effectively communicate could severely hurt your chances at both securing funding and dealing with clients. Look for strengths to supplement your weaknesses (we all have them).

A partnership may also help your chances of securing funding if your partner has good credit. You can check out Prosper.com or LendingClub.com for another option of funding, though they do have limits of $25k and $35k respectively, I think.

Also, my last piece of advice would be this. Utilize the internet for anything you need to know or learn regarding setting up, managing, and running your business. There is a huge amount of FREE information and how-to's available regarding general business operations.

    Good luck.

      Thank You.

Got me down to a Tee there spot on. this is exactly what i need to do sales members are ready to go i have been driving through the internet finding bits and piece's but nothing as straight forward as this,

My Question: I think having a partner is a great idea and one from my sales team as i have been considering it anyways but would i have to show him everything???

Writing skills are not great at all therefore i have purchased business in a box which will help me immensely.

I do not want a website as its not going to be an online business but do you really see this as a plus even if i just purchase it and let it stay idle earning revenue off it? because as i said its not an online business and i don't want to direct the customers to a website with my name in it sort of defeats the objection and i don't want this happening......
But saying that i do also realise that its a business and online is the way to go but i don't know where to start with all that .

Thank you for taking your time to write your reply

You don't have to show them everything, you could establish your business as a legal business entity. Probably an LLC., but you should consult a lawyer. Either way, your agreement doesn't have to be %50 ownership, give them a percentage based on their involvement level. 10-20% is probably good if all they are doing is bringing something important to the table. If they are going to contribute financially or take on a portion of the debt to finance than they will probably want, and should deserve more, in my opinion.

I would think that having a website will allow companies beyond your immediate reach the ability to find you. But, I don't know what your business is so I can't say for sure. Just consider that a website is always up and running and can reach millions at a time.

Also, I just wanted to suggest that you could trade services until you get going. Provide your service or product in exchange for the services you need to get going. Trade for a business lawyer, accountant, etc.

I have already started tradeing that is how i got the "Big Local Biusiness" interested in my services so least i know i'm doing something right thank you..

See the thing is what do i say to this company as i have no business name just local lad with no real qualifications, Now don't get me wrong i have no problems selling this product/service so my question is do i need to sell myself or should i just go in and sell the product and worry about the rest afterwords? My meeting is on tuesday....

I have considered the website idea's thing its best just to focus on adsense even if its just for the time being that way i have my domain name and i'm earning money from it "I Love Google Search".

So what would be the going rate i would have to offer him/her more ofcourse i knew this but how much more? i don't want to give to much at the start i was thinking more like 25% but now you said 20% i'm thinking i should now raise my original figure of 25%

      Thank You again

You'd really have to evaluate the potential partners immediate contribution and their ongoing contribution to the business. If all they do is help you get set up and then do little more than act as a salesman in the future you should negotiate a smaller share or maybe just a bonus or percentage of profits over the first two years or so.

What is their contribution worth to you to help get your big idea going? And, is this something you can just pay someone else a small one-time fee to do? What is it worth to you and what are you willing to pay for it?

Prior to just agreeing on anything you should consult a lawyer to help set-up the organization and to review all aspects. Whatever arrangement you make with your future partner should definitely be in writing including what their role and responsibilities are, what requirements have to be met before they get paid, etc. You don't want to sign over a portion of your company, have this person slack off, and then later come calling for his share of your success. For as much as people would like to live in a world where a handshake would suffice, people always have their own best interests in mind, and small misunderstandings can turn into huge problems.

I would suggest you don't offer up a figure at the first meeting. Discuss the possibility of working together and let them know why think this is a good fit. Ask them what they would need to become a part of this and what they would like to see happen. Then go home and think it over, they might be happy with 5-10% depending on your projected revenues. Eg. if you are planning to net a million dollars then 10% would be pretty substantial.

Or, another idea would be a progressive option. 5% share in the company upfront, after a year you can both discuss a continued relationship and if the company is profitable you can raise the share to 10 or 15%. Just an idea.

Thank you so much you certainly helped me with these words I have therefore wrote out plans for both business and partnerships albeit still a little sketchy but can quickly get them checked out by a lawyer for a small fee.

5% share upfront for an unknown Business ( i truly believe this is going to work) but is this asking to much for example lets say i was doing a local pub and their earnings was lets say 15,000 per year 5% of that would net me what 3,000 if thats wrong sorry no calculator infront of me and i hate using this anyways ha.

All i need my potential partner for is 1. Potential funding and 2. to be the voice i am pretty good myself and could do it myself but this guy is great at what he does so would be a loss without him to be honest.

      Thank You Again.

        Thanks for the replies.

First of all i must point out again that this is not online work or anything to do with my signature SEO this was brainstormed using the same techniques while testing the subject.

So sorry i have no links or other online informationtion to give cause to tell ya the truth i have'nt got a clue about how the internet works never mind backlinks and adsense (adsense does look good dough).

I have set this up myself and currently now have 3 companies under my belt all from referrals and word of mouth. This is a win-win situation from me as i am not spending any of MY money on this at all FULL STOP. I lose nothing and have everything to gain 100% profits and its not little money its $500 minimum with add on's etc.

My question is with this sort of income how much do you recommened i pay commision 2 the sales agents who want in on this as they are a company. I would ideally like both but i don't want to waste my money but again as i said its 100% profit so maybe i can afford to and if i just do it based on commision i am still losing nothing. What do warriors think?

I have tryed working on this myself buts its getting to much just for 1 man. altough the idea of doing it all on my own till its set up properly is intriguein i just can't cope and have my "Big Comapany" meeting today in 4 hours to be precise and i'm terrified haha.

        Thanks in Advance.

P.s Siperrooster Thank you i have now put up an idle website with clickbank items on it similar to my Niche would you prefer Adsense or clickbank? I figure if i get conversions clickbank would earn me more but seems as its going to be a business website (eventually) what do you suggest as i'm swaying towards adsense but want a answer from you warriors.

By the way thank you, all of you if only everyone knew how helpful this site is. Warriors Forever.

Hi warriors thanks for your replies over the past couple of days as most of you already know i had a Meeting today bby the way its for a local goverment I have no experience with any of this sort of stuff at all and well heres the outcome:

Walked in 30mins early suited and booted with printed notes to hand with questions and answers they may ask and questions and answers i wanted answering.

So the meeting is taking place and they ask how much i'm charging for my services this is after i explain the benifits and percentages along with my plans to expand I played it cool and showed them comparison prices that i had ready and similar prices they may find elsewhere which we did on their computer.

The outcome i said i'd charge them the least i could which will include cost for my labour and overheads "Note this is not costing me a penny" so i stated 1000 a month with all extra's expecting them to bargain me down alot more......

The result I start tomorrow on a monthly basis contract signed and 1500 a month for a couple of hours work 5 days a week. haha i'm so happy really thank you all so much. My first week is depending on my services but i fully expect to exceed this.

Really did not expect this outcome the most i expected was 500 i trebled that just because i believed in my services.

So to all you newbies out there stick to 1 thing and go with it find your niche and don't give up. Been here in the warrior forum really helped me and it can help you to.

I LOVE YOU GUYS & GALS & Anything else in between.

"Brains are the cheapest cut of meat." Cant remember where its from but its mega true. Forget investors until u have a proven concept. Find a way to build a piece of it and get it performing all at the same time working on a business plan. Use adwords to test ideas and concepts. An idea is worth nearly zero. Watch Shark Tank or Dragons Den if you do not believe me. Get one piece of it going, preferrably the most profitable then move on to financing. I have this million dollar idea too and only need a few investors but I took small pieces of it and implemented it right away and make cash from it NOW not 5 years from now. I would never give up the majority for that now. Neither should u.
