Traffic Swapping?
Is there some name for swapping traffic between websites.
I'm not talking JV or anything else I've found so far.
It's more closely related to link exchanges, but instead of posting a link in a list, it's a banner ad with managed traffic. So far I have a couple of partners where we swap between 100 and 500 unique visitors a month.
I've been doing this with topic related sites that with minimal content overlap.
We both use tracking software to track both the traffic sent and traffic received.
We adjust banner location and rotation frequency to maximize and even out traffic sent and received.
So is this called something and has anyone else tried it?
