I find this example of Digimarc using the Portland Oregonian very ironic, as this paper rarely if ever uses or has advertisers that use QR codes...they are nowhere to be found.

When they announced this new shift I was surprised as the general public were not used to the codes, and it seemed to me only to be a shift away from physical print media.

It would seem to be a paradigm shift that is missing a key ingredient jumping ahead of itself.

Whereas many papers in Southern California use them extensively.

I think the Oregonian is having trouble finding ANY advertisers, not just ones who use QR Codes!!
