Direct Mail List with a catch...

I need help acquiring a mailing list to send direct mail pieces, however there's a catch. the list needs to be of people who have a common physical / medical problem I.e. diabetes, heel pain, fungal toenails. I realize you can obtain any list based on demographic data variables (infousa.com), but they do not allow customization based on a physical ailment. can anyone tell me how to gather such a list?

    ah, great, thanks. srds has a $1,000 annual fee if a library doesn't carry it - mine doesn't...
    is it difficult to use? worth the expense? user friendly?

    I would call other libraries around you. I live in the boonies, but the main library in the city has online access to it.

    SRDS used to publish a physical book which some libraries will still have. Ask if they have an old copy of the SRDS Direct Marketing List Source.

    $1000 is a lot of money if you're only going to use it now and then. Spend $50 on gas/parking and drive to a "big" city library that has access to it.
