Google Places question...

I've been using Google Places for clients since before they ever were called Places listings but have a question that has just come up. My client created his Places listing over a year ago and wants me to optimize it but does not know what email he used for creating it since he does not use Gmail regularly. He created a gmail address just to do his listing but now has no idea what it was. Anyone know how I can find out what email was used ? He said he's certain that he knows the password as he uses the same one for many things apparently but has not even a guess as to what email he created for his Places listing.

If any of you have any help I'd appreciate it.

Thanks !

    Terry,

I'd suggest the quickest way would be to create a new gmail address & GP listing. Once it is authorised delete the old listing

Hi if you go to gmail and try and login state forgot password, then you can see on the left it also states forgot your username? here if your client knows the mail he uses mostly would more likely be the one he had down as the recovery email and if so the new details will be sent to that address try this first better than delisting and existing places listing and starting over, let me know how you get on

You can delete that old listing and create a new listing. But be cautious, if that old listing is in ranking for any keyword, then don't delete, you will be out of ranking.

Deleting the listing would be the worst thing one can do in such a case EVER.

I'd suggest if you cannot find the old email to simply verify the listing via a new account. You can owner-verify already owner-verified listings. Here is an explanation.
