Give your clients something to remember you

Like a lot of us, I love useful little gadgets. Whenever I would go to Staples or Office Max or Office Depot, waiting to check out I would see super cheap USB Flash Drives and just would toss them in with my items like a kid at a grocery store throws a Snickers in to his mom's grocery order.

So here I am with a bucket of 1,2,and 4 gig flash drives! I suppose there are worse addictions to have and I doubt that A&E will film an episode of Intervention or Hoarders about me.

To my point....one of my offline ventures involves writing content for websites, newsletters, press releases, etc. When I finish a project, besides just emailing the file, I load the project on one of the flash drives and drop it in a mailer or if it's a local client I just drop it off (with my invoice). I have one of those tape label makers and I slap my phone number on it.

I can't say for sure that it's the reason that I get repeat business, but it's a little different and I know it's appreciated.

You may label your company name and contact detail of the flash drive.
Maybe just use a sticker to stick behind the flashdrive or maybe crave on it .

Your flashdrive will keep on remind them with your company brand and this is how you buid your brandname.

That is why companies always give away something but for sure they will be somewhere have their company logo and contact.

If the drive has the room I put on my company name...but it seems to build some goodwill either way.

This is really useful. I guess you can also also put a file within the flash drive that states some contact information about your company. Kind of like a digital business card.

That is awesome! Great idea! I think a vCard, QR would be very smart indeed!

Very cool... what about promoting another business promotion in the zip, something that ties into the original project but offers more value to the client. "Congtrats! You are entitled to a ____ savings off our local SEO domination promo. This promo is for YOU and You only! Scan this QR code to grab your savings today!"

wow! what a great idea this is ...
Think about loading a full website demo in a USB drive, mail it to to a business that has no website, if you have the budget or drop it off if you want to save post fees. It should be crazy conversion rate
Who wouldn't like a free USB drive with a SURPRISE, call to action message to plug in the USB and see what's in it.
I might as well as try this. If you get 3-5 clients out of 100 USBs mailed, and charge them 800$ you should be in good profit.

Add a link to a Facebook fan page created for them, customized, and let them know that you can transfer it to them for a fee of 299$ or, 1000$ when the buy both the website and the fan page ownership.

And then ask to meet them once they call you and upsell other services right away

The possibilities are endless, it's all about having a budget to buy a bunch of 1GB USB's and of course do some basic, website demos off a generic template.

Edit: These would be a great if you could find them at a rate of 1-2$ each...
