Having a LOT of problems..

EDIT:
I am having lead generators find small to medium size businesses in large cities across Canada, and am having the cold callers call them and sell the service to them. Usually they ask for more information in e-mail format, which I have been trying to do. The rest ask for a PayPal invoice to be sent via e-mail but never Pay! I think I'm going to have to get on the phone myself like you guys say, I'm just very shy on the phone, as I have only just turned 15.

Hey everyone,

So I have hired cold callers off of oDesk, (9 of them), and 3 lead gens (900 leads per day, upped to 1800 when I have the money to provide additionally Skypes) and am looking to sell Mobile Websites.

I am feeling very overwhelmed with problems right now..

Yesterday I had 20 people say they would like more information through e-mail, and are interested in purchasing.. That was $697 per client.. I'm missing out on a possibility of $14,000 right now, because of my next problem.

I bought a domain and e-mail from GoDaddy, and then Hosting from HostGator. I have never got the e-mail working properly.. I've tried the web client on both sides, and tried setting up Hostgator on my Mail app and Outlook for mac.. Now almost every time I send e-mails, they bounce, and I get this message :

That is in the web client. I get a different message in the Mail app :

From the mail app I tried sending from the GoDaddy e-mail, and my Personal e-mail.. Same results. This happens with almost all of the leads. The few e-mails that actually go through never get replied to, and I am wondering if they are ever even being sent.

I have sent about 8 invoices out now to people who have requested one, and not a single one was paid.. They were from PayPal.

I'm losing money and I am beyond overwhelmed at this point, so any help is appreciated.. Thanks everyone..

Also, what should I be including in my 'More information' e-mail? My cold callers already inform them that they are Mobile Optimized versions of their current websites that will make it easier to browse on a mobile phone etc., and make sure to note that it will have mobile specific features such as Tap to Call, and Mapping.

Thanks everyone.

Send yourself test emails first.. do they come through?

If they do then your email is working, which means your callers got the wrong emails or straight lied about wanting more information.

You domain's name servers are pointing to the NS at hostgator right?

Get on a Support Chat or Call with Hostgator - They should be able to hook you up...

They did a great job for me!

You are paying for support with both, give Hostgator a try!

You are gonna like what you get ... I sure have!

      Hope That Helps You Out...

Call both Host Gator and GoDaddy support to get your technical issues handled, that's what they are there for! You'll kick yourself for waiting to call.

Please be a little more clear as to what you lead generation and sales process is. What kind of information are your cold callers giving in order to generate leads, are they sending follow-up emails or are you? What kind message are you sending in your follow-up emails? Are you trying to close sales through phone and email, or are you just trying to set an appointment and then close them?

Kind of difficult to offer you a clear solution if I don't understand what you are doing?

I think that if possible, you should be willing to pay a visit now to those that have committed.

If that is not possible, perhaps it is time for you to get on the phone with them yourself.

    I would do that quickly.

GTFO with this BS first of all. You are not shy, thats just what you are saying to avoid talking to people on the phone. You think you can just relax while other people magically do your dirty work

I'm just very shy on the phone, as I have only just turned 15.

How can you instruct your telemarketers on what to say if you dont even know yourself. You are taking up this challenge, who cares how old you are, grow up and face it rather than making excuses. Or you can keep playing the age card for at least 10 more years, hey Im only 16, Im only 17 .....

If you have some money to invest spend some of it on a mentor who can guide you.
This forum is great for help but you can spend weeks going back and forth getting replies when you can just pay someone who actually know what they are doing to help you out.
Its obvious that you are in over your head right now,and didnt even have a real plan going into this other than "lets hire some people to sell mobile websites"

Hope you learn and do well but as of now you are just one those unprofessional operations that helps give everyone a bad name!

Why are you offering mobile sites when you don't know how to correctly set up an email account inside your hostgator account?

And once you set it up you should be able to log right in from the email section of the hosting account as well, nothing for you do to at all.

I tend to agree more with Eddie's post.

I'd be happy to help you out at no cost, just pm me or skype me.

Everyone has to start somewhere, and can't know everything before they start a business. If they wait until they learn everything they will have information overload and never get anything started.

Of course you can't know everything but come on. Setting up email is the most BASIC things to know before you start soliciting for clients.

I am very tech savvy, and can set up websites no problem. This is the first time I have ever run into this problem.

You had all these leads generated before you even had working email for your business? I mean great job on taking action, but you probably could have set things up a little better first.

Taking action too soon could actually end up losing you a ton of money. This is a great lesson for others. Taking action is a must, BUT you have to set up your business first so you can handle the business. That's the only way to have long term success.

      Hey Sean,
Thanks for the reply. I thought the e-mail was working fine, and it turns out it has been working fine the whole time, it was the businesses's e-mails were not working properly (their domains were expired). My real concern now is that the businesses are not replying, so I have instructed the sales reps I have to begin credit card pulling, as the businesses are agreeing to pay by credit card, but are not responding afterwards.. When followed up, they say they are very busy and will check their e-mails ASAP.

Anyhow things are clearing up a bit.
