Free WSO. Get your face all over Google - Higher Click Throughs and More Sales Guaranteed
Hi Fellow Warriors,
Want to increase click thrus, confidence and credibilty?
Time for the Pirate to give something back for a change.
If you've not already got your pic all over Google here's the simple 3 step process for getting one of those neat little pictures of yourself alongside your blog posts and web pages.
This is great for your viewers who now have a face to put to the voice so to speak. Personally, I've found it works great for my review sites and offline services, but less well for straight out e-com, where I think people want to see a more corporate face.
Anyway, if you haven't seen these before they look like this.

That's not me by the way, that's just some dude who shows up when you search 'free seo blog New York', but you get the idea.
At first I thought these pics must be of Google staffers or some kind of super elite bloggeratzi, but after a few days of looking around I finally cracked the code.
So. In true Fluff Free spirit, no opt-ins, no email blasts and no nasty sales men will call.
Here goes, 3 simple steps to getting your pic on Google ...
1. Head over to Google WebMaster and paste your Google+ URL into the first box.
(I'm presuming we all have a Google+ account here)

Next pick the small button size option and copy the code that appears.
2. Now cruise over to your website or blog and paste in the code immediately before the </head> tag.
To do this click on the Editor option in your dashboard.
Looks something like this:

3. Almost Done. Go back to your Google+ page and hit 'Edit Your Profile' Click 'Contributors to' and add your website's url.

That's it, job done. Now just give Google 4 or 5 days and you're good to show! Your profile picture - the one you use on your Google+ page - will show up next to your posts and pages.
*** To check you've done everything right use this Google tool (Webmaster Tools - Rich Snippets Testing Tool) and add your site's url.
Neat huh?
