How much would you charge for high comp?

Hello offliners,

Ive got a few sites starting to rank in a high competitive market, the city has about 600,000 people (yikes did not even realize that as I took on this project) all my sites are in the same city. But anyways the sites range from dog groomers to dentist, ect.

My question is what would you charge to basicly rent a site out or how would you go about getting a fair price? Since this project has taken me months to set up and still working on some other sites. I always thought about having them be rented out for about 2k a month. But now with all the costs and time envolved im thinking thats kind of low.

My package would be they rent out the site, I keep doing seo on it to keep it at its rankings or get higher ranks. Help manage their social media, set that up if they dont have facebook/twitter ect. Get some youtube videos ranked also. And then tackle google places. So how much would you charge for a simple package like that?

Any other advice and im all ears! Thanks for your help!

First off, that's awesome that you have done that and stayed committed to the model. I'm sure that's where most people fail, not seeing it through.

Second, as far as pricing your stuff goes it's a little difficult to give you a straight answer with out knowing more details such as how much traffic the sites are getting, and what exactly you'd be doing on top of that.

In my mind it really boils down to the amount of leads you can generate, and depending on the niche, the value of those leads varies.

You will be hard pressed to get somebody here to give you a straight number without the full details, and even then you would probably get five different numbers from five different people.

My advice would be charge what you think it is worth, you can always take the price down but it's very hard to take it up.

    Hope that helps.

I agree with what Neil said. The other thing that you can look at is to not sign a long term contract. Since it is your site, and your domain, I would always keep something on the bottom that links back to you. By not locking anyone into a long term deal, if you think you can get more a few months down the road you will have that option.

I have done the same thing a few times, and instead of renting it out I just sold it with a contract to continue services. This way you get money up front, and you still get the monthly contract at the same time. Depending on how you structure it, you may make more in the long run. Good Luck
