offline classified ads need some pointers thx

hi there, was wondering where do you guys ( Americans) buy classified ads (with 1 paper or nationwide) ? do you go to websites online or buy it with the paper offline by calling up some number...

reason i am asking this is because i am not an American and want to explore classified ad advertising in USA.

any websites to recommend buying classified ads?

    Depends on the area you want to target.

    If you know the area, find out all the of publications that offer classified ads and call them up directly. Many newspapers you can also order by their website or faxing them.

    Not sure about nationwide, never looked into it.
