What's Your Elevator Speech?

Hello Warriors

So as part of getting my new business known and building contacts I'm doing attending a business seminar shortly where executives from Groupon and other internet businesses will be speaking.

I figure business owners will be there to learn (it's free) and I could make some good contacts.

I've heard many people talk about elevator speeches which are a few sentences that explain what you do and how it can benefit their business in the time it takes an elevator to make it's journey.

As we're all mainly in the same business and the business is about leads, sales, revenue I thought it useful to ask our esteemed warriors (and the rest of us) what your elevator speechs are?

I'm starting to think about mine and I guess it's something you should use while cold calling as I find I'm struggling to get across why they should listen to me.

So, fire away and let's hear what you use so I can steal your examples for myself (and everyone else)

Thanks

If you answer Who What Why When and Where you will be able to communicate clearly to your audience. If you want to stand out then tell them Who your best lead is. Then offer to do a one on one with them. Follow up with a one on one which is a 30 minute conversation about your business and their business. NOTE do not waste your time doing a one on one with anyone who is working for a multi level company. Look at this as hiring a sales person with out having to pay them and they should look at you the same.
    Good Luck

If I can show you how to get 10 more clients this month for free, would you be interested in learning more?

If yes, set appointment, do not sell anything until appointment.

        I have the same problem.
With offline or online, describing what you do can make peoples' eyes glaze over. Sometimes we lose sight of just how technical our everyday speak can be to others.
Keep it simple and direct, always geared to how we help businesses
        grow and profit.

    Hi...

Generally I don't use my elevator speech to bring in service sales instead I do it to just spread the word about my non profit company. Normally it drives people to request a business card and thus they donate a blanket or come to an event I'm having... But here is it...

" Hey. I own a company called Inkbean that is focused on bringing joy to abandoned pets and premature babies by crocheting handmade blankets. It's a company I'm very passionate about. What do you do? "
