My 35% Response Rate Client Getting Salesletter - Swipe And Deploy it For Your Own Use!

Hello Everyone,

Gosh!

Thanks you for the love and respect I have gotten over the past 6 days.

It's been humbling for me.

After my earlier thread was closed, I decided to let it all go and concentrate on my business, but coming back and seeing all the people posting and asking questions, I decided to make another post CAUTIOUSLY.

So we don't get into the issues we faced in the last post.

First FULL DISCLOSURE.

I run my own company Profit Marketing Systems Limited (PMSL)

We do these among the following:

1. Offline Consulting (7 clients since August, 2011)

2. Online Info Publishing (as Joint-Venture deals with other local marketers)

3. Imports (This part of this business was just started recently. We are still expecting our first order of products from China)

I write an Internet Marketing column for a business opportunity newspaper in my country. I write all my business' salesletters. Do a search for my name Ronald Nzimora on Google and you'll come up with a bunch of links pointing to the fact that I have created and sold internet marketing products in the past.

What I do now is what you see above.

So in essence this means I am a business consultant, an internet marketer, a copywriter and an importer too. Hey it's no crime being all of this at once.

Why am I listing all this here? Because I don't want any misrepresentations. Thank you very much.

Now that we have that out of the way, I'll proceed to the meat of this post . . .

AN ANALYSIS OF MY CLIENT GETTING SALESLETTER

The salesletter below is what I use to get offline clients. I print them up in batches of 100 each and mail them in a ratio of 40-30-30 over three weeks.

It's designed to get prospective clients to call in, and got a response rate of between 30-35% each time it is mailed. I started using it in August 2011.
Have mailed twice since then.

I don't mail every month of course. Only when I want to get more clients. Speaking of which, we are going to mail again first week of May, 2012.

Why am I not mailing every month?

Because I don't want to bite off more than I can chew.

So here's the letter below.

You can take it, add it to your swipe file. Steal it, whatever you like to do with it. It's provided out of the abundance of my heart FREE!

I have attached an annotated PDF document to this post which dissects and analyses the salesletter pointing out why it gets the response it does get.

You can also download that if you want.

Here's the link. http://www.mediafire.com/?hci9x557ka5cyyd

Note: Please DO NOT email me on the email I use for this upload.

It's a throwaway email I use.

#START OF SALESLETTER#

"(Prospective Client's Name) I know You Want To Increase Your Business Profits... Here's one Way to do it. FREE."

Dear (their name),

If you want to increase the rate at which your business generates more party lovers who will be willing to buy one of your boating packages, then this is the most important letter you'll read today.

Here's why.

There are newer ways to generate cash-paying clients that are far easier, far effective and most IMPORTANTLY cheaper than Newspaper/TV/and

Radio advertising.

Here's one of them. Please find time to implement it today.

Your tip . . .

Build a website that will have nothing but a form on it. This form will 'force' people to give you their name, email address and phone number.

When next you advertise, direct people to go to this website and fill in the form to get a 10% (or whatever discount you want) when they use your service.

Now if they do, you will have their CONTACT DETAILS!

Now you can call them, email them, sms them anytime you want to sell your boating packages.

Now Sir, contrast it with the way you are currently advertising. The way you're doing it now, when people see your advert, they may not reply. Even if they do, because you are not 'capturing' their contact details, you may never ever hear from them again.

That's money gone down the drain. When ever they need this service eventually, they most likely will never remember you and instead buy from your competitors.

How do I know this will work?

Because I have used this tactic and many similar others for business owners just like you.

My name is Ronald Nzimora and I am a marketing consultant. I specialize in helping businesses like yours increase their profits and customer numbers.

No Sir, do not call me just yet. This is not a sales message. Rather I saw your advert in the Punch newspapers and I seeing you're advertising in other to get more customers, I felt I could send you this one tip. If you put it to use, it will help you immensely.

Now Sir, in case you call me as call me as I suspect you might, I can come in and explain further how this strategy will work for your business.

My number is xxxx-xxx-xxxx.

This visit is absolutely at no CHARGE to you or your organisation.

Why do I think you may want to call me?

Simple. It's because I know you are a smart man.

You will want to take advantage of this opportunity I presented here before your competitors learn of it. That way you will be months, even years ahead of them, and they can only play catch up.

When I come in, if I have other ways I can help you, I will share them with you. IF there are none and you're doing just fine, I'll tell you so.

You owe me nothing.

Thanks for reading my letter,

I look forward to hearing from you how what I have shared has helped you.

Ronald Nzimora

#END OF SALESLETTER#

NOTE 1: I use DHL to send this letter. It's the most prestigious courier company in my country.

NOTE 2: I use a dedicated phone number for this promotion, so I will know for sure the calls are specifically in response to our mailings.

As you can see, this salesletter is not high pressure, nor is it salesy.

It simply wants wants to help.

Can you tweak this salesletter for your own purposes? Sure you can!

I usually mail on Mondays, the clients receive the mail on Tuesday and the calls begin to come in from Tuesday.

All of the calls don't convert of course.

Of the 35 business who called, 3 converted each time and became clients. This is because I have a detailed method of choosing who
I want to work with.

I'll try to go throgh the process of what happens after this goes out and the calls begin to come in.

I hope it has helped you.

God bless.

Ronald

P.S. I posted an earlier thread and the MODS deleted it. If this is not the
right place to post this, or it's not the right thing to say here, MODS please

Does that really work? You say you're not selling anything but then basically imply that you do have something to offer.

It seems too overtly deceptive to pull in a good response. Although it is worded fairly subtle so I'm not entirely sure how people will respond.

Will just have to take you on your word I suppose. I'm going to give this a try right now actually although I may use a different vehicle for delivery.

Will let you know how it works & thank you!

I agree. The first half is great but the second half comes across a bit dodgy.

But hey... if it ain't broke.. don't fix it!

      Hi Redshifted,

This shouldn't be too hard to understand eh?

Get this. The AIM of the letter is to have them call me.

These guys don't even know me. Yet they get a letter from me.

If you were the business person, and you got a letter from me saying I'll offer this or that, what would be your reaction?

And you're right, I IMPLY that I have something MORE to offer IF they like the tip I gave them earlier and it makes sense to them.

If you say it's deceptive, then you do not understand direct response marketing and copywriting.

      Just my 2 cents.

What you should do if you want to is to use the salesletter, but you MUST tweak it to your own situation.

I don't know if it will work with your culture, and businesll climate. But you can TEST it.

I have oly shared what worked for me.

      Cheers,

      Ron

Because I'm sure he's either planning on building a list, the PDF has an offer, or something else...

Post the link to download if its really free and not offering anything else... if not prepare for this to be deleted

I will do that later today.

I have a meeting fixed with one of my clients.

      Surely I will do that.

If however you know how I can upload it here without putting it on some external link, let me know.

But really, the salesletter is already here. The PDF is simply an analysis of
I did showing why I believed it worked.

No offers. Nothing for sale. NOTHING!

      Hope this helps.

      Ron.

UPDATE: Let me do a search on Google for a file hosting site and upload the PDF, then I'll post the link.

ANOTHER UPDATE: Here's the link. http://www.mediafire.com/?hci9x557ka5cyyd

I don't suspect OP has other motive, but I do think the sample sales letter is nothing special... I especially hate it when people say 'sir' in email or letter... strictly my opinion though... thanks for sharing nonetheless..

You seem to forget that he is from a different culture than you. I am pretty certain Sir, Madam is a a common and respectful term in Africa. Just change it for your own culture or don't use the letter at all if it doesn't appeal to you. He shared it with everyone for free.

I am not saying if it's good or not. I am saying that before people say this is bull**** (not saying you are but others are or might) just try it.

      Hi,

In my country and culture people take small stuff like salutations extremely serious.

I wouldn't want to risk someone tossing out my letter simply because he feels slighted. NO Sir!

Very good... good job on actually providing everything here in this thread, and not having a hidden agenda so far LOL.

          Great..

Now your sales letter, I think would be too cheesy over here in the US, but direct mail works, which is what you are proving.

I can't help but think though, you're losing too many people. 35% response rate but overall your conversions are only 3%. I'm sure you could pretty easily get that up to 10%.

I think even if this were used in the US, people would still get calls from it, I wouldn't expect 35% though, I'd expect maybe 1-10% over here.

            Hi,

            Probably yes, I don't know.

            Sure 3% ain't a great record, LOL!

I can do better with I know.

            I'm actually planning a revision.

If and when I do, I may share.

            Thanks for posting here.

            God bless.
